No Plan B News

No Plan B offers close combat tactics in a brutal roguelike campaign

I like close combat tactics, directing troop actions on a timeline, and breaching and clearing, but a recent revisit to Door Kickers revealed I no longer had the patience for its fiddly UI and grim scenarios.

No Plan B looks intriguing, then, for featuring all of the things mentioned above that I like, an unknown quantity of the things I don't, and for having released on Steam this week.

I'm thrilled to announce the official launch of No Plan B on Steam, following a highly successful early access phase with an impressive 90% positive reviews!

In No Plan B, the challenge is to carefully plan your team's tactics in close quarters battles.
Use the timeline to synchronize each door breach, grenade throw and room entry with precision.

Take on challenging roguelike campaigns or standalone missions.

It launches with a 10% discount available for one week:

Thank YOU!

I'd like to express my infinite gratitude to the 20,000 Early Access participants who contributed to shaping the game into its 1.0 state.
A special acknowledgment goes to the testers who dedicated a significant amount of their time to reporting bugs, help me enhance the game design, and refining its balancing over the course of 2 years.
Additionally, heartfelt appreciation is owed to the translators whose efforts made it feasible to release the game with support for 22 languages.

Supporter Edition

The game launch is synchronized with the release of the "Supporter Pack" DLC, bringing a range of new character customization options to boost the tacticoolness of your squad and make your mission replays even more epic.

Please note that purchasing this DLC primarily demonstrates your support for the game and the customization options don't provide any gameplay advantages.

The DLC joins the "Supporter Edition" bundle alongside the full game and its soundtrack.
Good news: players who purchased the bundle before the release should automatically receive the DLC.

V1.0 Changes

Here are the changes introduced by 1.0:
  • New Character Voices: the 4 factions now have both male and female voices, recorded by the awesome Ivy Moody (SWAT/FBI female voices), Hannah Melbourn (Robbers/Gangsters female voices), Brian Watts (SWAT/FBI male voices) and Jarret Griffis (Robbers/Gangsters male voices).
  • New Keyart: It was a great honor collaborating with Gray Shuko on the creation of the new key art. I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
  • Game Modes Unlock option: begin the game with all game modes unlocked.
  • Seasoned Squad option: max out your characters' XP.
  • Persistent XP option: retain their earned XP when restarting a campaign chapter.
  • Hollywood Mode option: breach rooms fearlessly, facing enemies who seem to have forgotten how to aim.
  • Performance Optimizations: while I'm not claiming the game will run smoothly on a potato, you should notice significant improvements in performance, particularly on larger maps.

Other Bundles

I'm also hosting the "GFX47 Games" bundle that contains both Gladiabots (my previous game) and No Plan B.
If you already own Gladiabots, you should get a nice additional discount on No Plan B:
