Despite everything, Payday 3 and Cities Skylines 2 sell big on Steam

Payday 3 launched just a few months ago and it didn't go well. Server problems meant that purchasers were unable to play this heist game, which lacked any kind of offline mode. City-builder Cities: Skylines 2 also ran into technical problems, resulting in a similarly rocky launch. And yet, both games have sold well enough to make it on Steam's 2023 list of top sellers.

We're changing the prices of a few c-stack items! While most costs are getting reduced, some by up to 1/3, the Lycan7 is having it's c-stack cost increased from 25 to 100. If you haven't already, make sure to pick it up before the change happens on Monday the 18th of December, it's a great SMG.

Payday 3 Chapter 1 is here, but the price is causing concerns

Payday 3 Chapter 1 is here. The first DLC heist for the controversial co-op shooter introduces players to Syntax Error, but its high price compared to the add-on missions for the previous game in the series is causing a blowback from the game's community, with the new DLC pack currently holding a 'mixed' Steam user rating, much like that of the base game.

In Syntax Error we introduce drones, an anti-crime AI and high stake heisting.

Payday 3 rival Den of Wolves dev says Starbreeze "played it very safe"

Payday 3 hasn't had a smooth launch, with the previous game in the series Payday 2 still going strong and the brand-new Den of Wolves, announced at The Game Awards by former series developers, looking to rival it with a sci-fi twist. So PCGamesN had the chance to ask one of the Den of Wolves team, Simon Viklund, what they thought of Payday 3's launch, and how they want to rival it once Starbreeze gets its groove back.
