Hello heisters!

We’re now 5 months into the Year of PAYDAY 3, with not a lot of info revealed about the game yet. This has been frustrating for a lot of you, but we promise you the wait will be worth it. Our team has been working very hard on the game, this is still the year of PAYDAY 3 after all, and we’re now almost ready to start lifting the lid and let you all in on how the game is coming along.

PAYDAY 3 is releasing later this year, and we’re getting ready to showcase a first look at PAYDAY 3’s gameplay as well as more information about what you can expect very soon. This summer, to be more specific. If you want to be sure to be among the first to know what’s happening, sign up to Starbreeze Nebula and opt-in for the PAYDAY 3 newsletters there. A Nebula account will also let you earn Twitch Drops and other sign-up bonuses in PAYDAY 2.

We’re incredibly excited to see your reactions to our reveal in the summer. In the meantime, keep those helmets flying!

Hello and welcome to the PAYDAY 3 Steam Community Hub!

My name is Elisabeth, and I am the Community Manager here at Starbreeze. I've been around for several of our games now, including PAYDAY 2 and PAYDAY: Crime War, and I'm pleased to now be able to start chatting to you all about PAYDAY 3 as well!

If you've been around, you may recognise me from the developer updates I create with Almir over on our YouTube channel, or if you've been around from even before that you may remember seeing me on our developer streams too. And if you're entirely new here, I am very pleased to meet you for the first time :)

The year of PAYDAY 3 is finally upon us, and we’re stoked to see you’re all excited for the game to release. We see that you have a lot of questions about it as well, which is why we’ve compiled several of the most frequently asked questions here. Q: What is the release date for PAYDAY 3?
A: 2023 is all we have communicated so far. We will be announcing the exact date at a later time.

Q: What engine is the game developed in?
A: The Unreal Engine!

Q: Which characters will be in PAYDAY 3?
A: We have confirmed the return of the original gang, Dallas, Chains, Hoxton and Wolf.

Q: Where will the game take place?
A: PAYDAY 3 will take place in New York.

Q: Will the game be available on consoles too?
A: Yes, PAYDAY 3 will be available on PlayStation and Xbox. Now that we’re developing the game in the Unreal Engine we can ensure that the PC and console versions are the same game and not separate games.

Q: How much will the game cost at release?
A: We have not confirmed this yet, more info will come later.

Q: Will PAYDAY 3 have [insert character/feature/location/etc]?
A: If your question is not answered by any of the above answers, then we have not confirmed this yet. We will reveal a lot more information towards the release, so stay tuned!

A warm welcome to seasoned heisters and newcomers alike, to the community hub for PAYDAY 3! My name is Almir Listo and I’m the Head of Community here at Starbreeze Studios, and on behalf of myself and the crew, we’d first of all just like to say: It’s PAYDAY!

We’ve seen a lot of questions about whether PAYDAY 3 would be coming to Steam or not. We are proud to announce that this Community Hub will be our primary platform on PC, just like it is for PAYDAY 2. We love spending our time here together with you heisters, and we look forward to sharing more news and interesting details about PAYDAY 3 as we draw closer to its release.

There probably are a lot of questions about PAYDAY 3 that you want to ask, and while we can’t answer all of them (yet!) we want to share a space where the community can talk about anything PAYDAY 3 as we get closer to launch. On that note, we’ve opened up the Steam Community Hub, so we can start using its discussion board. If you have a question you’ve been wondering about, ask it there and we’ll do our best to answer!
