DEVOUR News

v3.0.19

Please note that all users will need to update Devour to play on the same server.

- Fix for a crash that sometimes occured for Mac OSX users on The Farmhouse
- Reconnect spawn points on The Inn and The Farmhouse have changed so that if you are dead you are not softlocked on reconnect
- Fix for an edge case where Zara would scream whilst running after emerging from a hole
- Reconnect modal shown on game launch cannot be closed when pressing the Esc key anymore
- Fix for when servers sometimes did not appear in the server browser at peak times

v3.0.18

The time has come! You can now play as Azazel in our brand new 4v1 asymmetrical game mode.

Sorry, it won't actually ever happen. Happy April Fool's Day! On to the actual (somewhat boring) changelog:

- The Town on Nightmare can now only be played if you have beaten it in Normal or Hard first (same as all other maps)
- Fixed an edge case issue where a ritual book became invisible when placed on the altar but not burned
- Sam will now reliably stand still to enrage even if he is about to destroy a hiding spot

For this patch, all clients and host will need to update. Restart Steam and make sure you are on v3.0.18.

v3.0.17

- Potential fix for a hang/crash that could occur due to a CPU thread locking up
- Fix for Spiders that were sometimes not avoiding other spiders correctly
- Fix for Sam not always activating his enrage animation on 10 books burnt
- Ghosts no longer get stuck when fleeing if they pick up a book directly under a player
- Server browser no longer appears underneath the main menu if you click the exit button immediately after hosting a game

v3.0.16

Another day, another patch.

For a while we've heard feedback that AI sometimes runs past a player who is a client (not host) when they are crouched. We've managed to reproduce the issue (thanks theblitz707) and have addressed it. AI will now perform the exact same line of sight raycasts for clients as it was already for the host.

Whilst we understand that this might make AI slightly harder to avoid, it's important that the experience is the same for all players.

As a counter-balance, AI will now be slightly more forgiving for players that are crouched. This means that instead of them requiring to see a player crouched for 0.05s before deciding to chase them, they will have to see them for 0.1s.

As always, thanks for all your feedback. We are aware that some users may be experiencing crashes on overclocked hardware. If you suffer from this, please come to our Discord #bug-reports channel so that we can assist you further.

v3.0.15

- Fixed a visual bug with Kai's outfit cloth physics "In Full Gloom"
- Fixed a bug with certain minions ignoring players UV after they reconnect
