Dev Update: Sneak Peek at New Map

We've been working nonstop since the release of DEVOUR to bring you our next map. We wanted to continue sharing content with you as we progress through its development and so here are a few new screenshots of the private mental asylum where players will find Molly... or what is left of her!

Please understand that as a small team, this process takes time. We cannot yet tell you exactly when it will be finished, but we're going as fast as we can and will announce its release date when we're ready.

We are also working on our first "feature" release (also known as v1.1.0) which will contain a new difficulty mode and 2 new robes to unlock. We hope to release this in the next week or so.

As always, thank you so much for your support and feedback. We will continue to post regular developer updates like these as we move closer to bringing you the next map.

v1.0.21

Today we're only releasing a few smaller improvements and fixes. We're working on larger updates for you in the near future, so please keep bringing us your feedback. Thanks everyone!
Changes
• Anna will now take knocked out players to points further away from her current position
 • Prevents most cases of being able to revive players through walls
 • Prevents picking up objects through door frames
 • Fix for edge case where a dropped object would be duplicated if knocked out at the same time as pressing G

v1.0.20

We're continuing to improve and tweak DEVOUR's first map. Whilst we cannot implement every suggestion we get, we do listen to your feedback and continue to use it in our decision making. So please keep it coming!
Changes
• Anna's UV time to stagger scales in the same way that it does for demons in single player (i.e. slightly less time required to stagger)
 • Anna is less accurate at knowing where a distressed carried goat is in single player and nightmare mode
 • Nightmare robe is now correctly unlocked when beating nightmare mode in single player
 • Anna's chase growl from goat 7 is now slightly louder
 • Player robes are no longer transparent when looking at them from below
 • Icon is shown in the bottom right corner of the screen when there are packet loss or connectivity issues
 • Being held by a demon no longer disables the players crouch state
 • Anna's chase growl from goat 7 is now slightly louder

v1.0.19

As always, thanks for your support. Here is another patch that we've been working on over the weekend that tweak some gameplay mechanics.
Changes
• When reviving a player, the other player will also see the revive circle icon
 • Goats left near the altar will wonder back towards the house
 • Demons should no longer try to grab another player when already close to a player
 • A random of 3 different fail endings is picked instead of picking one based on number of goats burned
 • You can now burn demons with UV faster if multiple players focus them
 • The KO achievement should now be awarded reliably
 • Cultists no longer have horns in the endings
 • Fixed an issue where sometimes the flashlight would be stuck on UV color after flickering

v1.0.18

We're continuing to iron out any issues we find in the game to ensure you get the best experience in our first map. Thanks again for all the feedback via our Discord server.
Changes
• Jumpscares are now rendered ingame rather than as a video. This should help with those that were seeing black screens instead of the video.
 • Added profanity filter to server names and chat messages. This can be disabled in gameplay options.
 • Added a Hide Private toggle on the Server Browser
 • Added Romanian and Slovakian translations
 • Blocked off a few areas that could allow players to get outside of the world colliders
 • Improved character movement so that there is less friction when touching walls. This also helps when walking slowly up staircases.
 • Altar no longer occludes audio.
 • Fixed a spot near the stable where a goat could fall through the ground. This is an edge case and would have caused them to respawn inside the house.
 • Possible fix for scenarios where players in the game session were given a different game state (e.g. collisions on/off or proximity voice chat on/off)
