- Resolved another edge case where Hay may not respawn at the correct speed
- Fixed hay that sometimes cannot be interacted with
- Moved the door by the attic cage to prevent collisions
- Improved German translations
- Fixed "Undefined" showing sometimes, especially when using Czech
- Refuse steam invites when game version does not match

Ensure all clients update to the latest version so that you can play together.

Hi everyone,

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who's already bought and played DEVOUR.

For a small team, with our 2 lead developers Joe and Luke doing the majority of the work, we've been excited to receive so much positive feedback and support. Creating a fun, scary co-operative experience was our biggest priority and it's been incredible to see so many of you having a blast with DEVOUR!

We're excited to announce that we're working on an entirely new map. Set 5 years after Anna was burned, it will focus on Molly's incarceration in a mental institution, and you'll be tasked with finding out the cause of the chaos she's unleashed!



Please remember that we are a small team and working on updates takes time. We will do our best to bring the new map out as quickly as we can, hopefully within the next few months!

Moving forward, we're committed to continuing to engage with you all. We've listened to your feedback and we'll be patching frequently as we iron out bugs and add new features. Here are just a few of the features that we're working on:

  • Proximity-based voice chat (optional)
  • Reconnect
  • Various tweaks and improvements to Anna's AI and audio
  • Lobby UI redesign

We've been working on a few changes based on user reports. Please keep letting us know of any issues you encounter via Discord. Thanks!

Changes
- Increased the rate at which hay respawns and moved some spawn locations to be more obvious
- Player Collisions can now be toggled on Nightmare mode
- Improved the colliders around the upper entry bannister area so its easier to jump over to the lower floor
- Adds a warning message for anyone running a build of Windows without Microsoft Media Foundation installed. This is required for jump scares to work.

We've brought back the volumetric light beam on flashlights! There was an edge case that was crashing certain graphic drivers (see previous post) and we believe to have fixed this now. If you have any issues, please reach out in our discord.

- Adds Czech language
- Reduces build size by 300mb thanks to some further texture optimizations

Mac version 1.0.8 is currently being approved by Apple and will be online soon.
