Sneak peek of DEVOUR's upcoming map The Inn

The team at DEVOUR are really excited to bring you details of our upcoming new map, The Inn. In this terrifying addition to the game, Zara will be the one chasing you down – in ways that will be brand new to our current fans.

We are implementing some exciting new mechanics and objectives to reinvent the gameplay you've all enjoyed in our first two maps, and we can't wait to see what you think!



The Inn is set in Zara's native Japan, where she has been hiding out in the caves beside her family owned guest-house. Using rituals remembered from her time with satanic cult The Watchers, Zara has been trying to summon the goat demon Azazel. But Azazel has possessed Zara's body and mind in the cruellest of ways: now, she will be switching between her human form and that of a terrifying, giant spider, commanding hordes of venomous demon spiderlings.

We're aiming to release The Inn by the start of October 2021 for free.







We're also excited to announce that we are currently working on other features to improve the game experience, such as a rank/leveling system, player perks and new outfits. Stick with us for more information in the future.

Digital Art Contest - Have Your Work Featured in DEVOUR's Upcoming New Map

Calling all digital artists!

We're running a competition to have a piece of fan art included in DEVOUR's new, upcoming map.
We're looking for something that will be used as a large wall poster (will not be framed). The style should be modern, Japanese, and without any English text. Use of Japanese characters is okay.

Something along the lines of a movie, music or food poster would be ideal. We're especially interested in comical ideas that link to DEVOUR thematically.

Art should be submitted via the #art-contest channel of our Discord server. High resolution image files only (PNG/JPG), please. Final date for submissions is August 5th, 2021. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions in the comment section below.

We're working hard on the upcoming map. Keep an eye out for a news post with more details in the near future.

v1.5.3

We're releasing a small patch today to address some security issues. Please let us know if you encounter any issues.

  • Improvements to help prevent hackers bypassing security checks
  • Lobby UI is now always visible so that you can reliably select the Kick button

Update 1.5: Farmhouse Audio Redesign and New Outfit!

Welcome to Update 1.5! We're excited to bring you a full audio redesign for The Farmhouse map as well as a new paid-for custom outfit.

[h2]The Farmhouse Audio Redesign[/h2]

With Update 1.5, you can enjoy a more immersive, chillingly atmospheric horror experience with the introduction of our fully revamped audio for The Farmhouse map. This is thanks to Steve Brooks, our very own audio engineer, who we welcomed to the team whilst working on The Asylum. We've been wanting to bring this to players for a while, and we'd love to know what you think (and how many goosebumps you got!)



[h2]New Outfit: Slice and Dice[/h2]

Introducing Nathan as everyone's favourite head chef! He's a dab hand with a cleaver. We're not sure where those blood splatters came from, though..



We're listening to the community and we know you've been keen to get your hands on more content for DEVOUR. Our paid-for custom outfits give you a way to personalise your favourite playable characters, as well as support the future development of the game. Keep an eye out as we release more outfits for our other characters in the future.

  • Fixed a bug where "Leave No One Behind" and "MVP" couldn't be earned at the same time
  • Cage's now have a locked animation in The Farmhouse
  • Moved a battery spawn point from the kitchen that could sometimes be hard to reach
  • Tweaked some colliders near the basement stairs and door on The Farmhouse to prevent AI getting stuck
  • Prevent player getting stuck in a cubicle in The Asylum
  • Fixed an issue where the hood from the Moonless Night outfit would sometimes not render
  • Key pickup status (chat) message no longer shows in single player
  • Improved a few translations


We are still hard at work on DEVOUR's next map, which we still aim to release before Halloween. We plan to stay active in the meantime, however. We will bring you regular updates when we can, so be sure to check in regularly!

Update 1.4: New Playable Character, Custom Outfits & More!

After a successful Public Beta Test we are now ready to roll out Update 1.4 for DEVOUR. It brings you new playable character April, as well as 3 new custom outfits.

[h2]New Character: April[/h2]

Join us in a huge welcome to April, our latest character in the growing DEVOUR squad. More used to strutting down the catwalk than running from demons, let's see how she fares banishing those possessed!



[h2]Custom Outfits[/h2]

Dazzle your fellow players (or Anna/Molly) with a fresh new outfit. These paid-for custom outfits give you a way to personalise your favourite playable characters, as well as support the future development of DEVOUR.

We're offering 3 new outfits in this first release: Moonless Night for the Cultist, as well as Fan The Flames and Claws Out for Zara. We are planning to release more outfits for our other characters in the future.

  • Adds new outfit preview UI to lobby.
  • Added new playable character, April.
  • Added 2 new paid-for outfits for Zara: Claws Out and Fan The Flames
  • Jump animation improved in 3rd person.
  • In-game status messages for key pickups now translate correctly into the clients language.
  • Fixed an issue where you could avoid being grabbed by Demons/Inmates in certain crouched positions.
  • Improvements to how objects are dropped and swapped to prevent bugs with animals getting stuck.
  • UI icons will no longer get stuck on the screen during an ending cutscene.
  • Fixes a few italian translation issues
  • Removes ghosting caused by ambient occlusion post-processing
  • Potential fix for edge case where Anna/Molly would get stuck when carrying a player
  • Fix for food being placed in a floating position in the ward
