Swing Striker News

How long does it take to create the awesome visuals you see in video games? Quite a bit longer than you might think! Our dedicated art team goes through a multistep process to create many of our designs, even the deceptively simple-seeming ones. That process includes: Concepting, prototyping, then finalizing and integration - all while reporting back to the rest of the team for feedback throughout the process.

Check out some of the stuff we've been working on for Squid Kicks!



Squid Kicks hails from Evercoral, a mostly ocean world that is home to a population of tough competitors and their favorite brutal sport, Battle Coral!



Here we have an overhead view of some of the many coral clusters dotting the surface of the planet.



You'll be able to see this art and more in the new animated intro for Squid Kicks' story mode!

Our Swing Striker team has been hard at work adding a full story mode for our beloved character, Squid Kicks!

Social Media influencer by day, swing striker by night, she can kick anyone's butt with the giant boot attached to her robot suit that she built herself and named after her grandma, Susan.



We've been hard at work making new levels, environmental art, boss fights, and new fans that will cheer you on from the stands!









Swing Striker Demo
You can find out more about Squid Kicks, her fans, and the challenges she'll face when Swing Striker is released. The demo version will only have Basic B's story, but don't worry! We're only 2 characters away from releasing to Steam.

There's no official date yet, but 🤞 we hope it's soon!

Every week or two, the Swing Striker team gets on Discord and Twitch to playtest some of the new features in the game. It's a great way for you to see a behind the scenes look at how we test, evaluate, and iterate on our games, along with an opportunity to see hilarious physics bugs that come up.

During this past week's test, we tried out the new character abilities, death match mode, and a few new levels for Squid Kick's single player mode! Check out this silly clip:

It’s Spooky Season and everyone at Giant Fox Studios is excited for what is to come! It’s a beautiful time of year in which the mornings get chilly, the leaves turn yellow, and the spiders start to build their last webs of the year.

Not all spiders are created equal however, and our Swing Striker, Penny Web, is a great example of that. Her speed and wicked spinning punch make her an extraordinary choice as you battle your friends for Swing Striker dominance!

If you have been following our posts over the past few months you can see that our upcoming game, Swing Striker, has received a ton of updates. Swing Striker has been in development for a little while now but GIant Fox Studios is still crafting new quality content for it everyday! We are very proud of how far we have come. This game started as a simple flash game on Bored.com and was streamed by PewDiePie…

…and has risen to become a fully fleshed-out modern game with advanced physics and compelling graphics!

Swing Striker is being developed to include game modes for every type of player. The Giant Fox Studios team has been working on crafting a single-player campaign that will provide many hours of universe spanning puzzles, monster bashing, and mystery solving entertainment. You will get a chance to play with your favorite Swing Striker, learn their story, and master their special abilities.



Swing Striker has a robust multiplayer experience. Dozens of unique stadiums with their own challenges await you and your friends. Prove your superiority with precision and timing in our Swing Striker mode while showing your ferocity in our Deathmatch stadiums. Don’t have friends? Don’t worry! We will have matchmaking available!

Giant Fox Studios has made many quality games and Swing Striker may be our most ambitious project yet. Because of this we are spending the time to make sure that when we bring this game to you it will be polished, tested, and at its fullest potential.
