You can play the new Remnant 2 DLC without buying it

New Remnant 2 DLC The Awakened King will take us back to the world of Losomn for a story surrounding its mysterious One True King. There's great news for those of you wanting to join your friends for some jolly cooperation, however, as developer Gunfire Games confirms that you won't actually need to buy the DLC to play it. As long as one person in the group owns the expansion, they'll be able to bring you into your game, with just one caveat.

- Fixed an issue where some Steam players were incorrectly notified that they needed to link their Steam account to an Epic account to play online.

DEV NOTE: There is no requirement to link a Steam account to an Epic account to play Remnant II online. This message was incorrectly occurring for a small portion of players and preventing them from connecting to multiplayer games.

- Added a warning if using RivaTuner, as it could potentially cause the game to crash.

DEV NOTE: This warning message will only show up if RivaTuner is actively running. If it is, it will often cause Remnant II to crash immediately, however in some cases the crash is delayed. There has been some confirmation that the latest version and beta versions of RivaTuner have been compatible with Remnant II and won’t cause a crash, however each PC is different. This message about RivaTuner can be disabled.

The details of the Remnant 2 DLC have finally been revealed. The Awakened King takes us back to fan favorite Losomn for an additional story surrounding the mysterious, yet curiously absent king. However, we already know Gunfire Games has three Remnant 2 DLC packs in the pipeline thanks to the Ultimate Edition's pre-purchase bonus, and with the multiverse just a hop, skip, and a jump away, there's no end to the places we might conceivably go.
