The fourth episode of Living World Season 1 returns on September 13! Next week, visit your Story Journal to join Marjory and Kasmeer’s investigation into the dark tower looming over Kessex Hills . Climb the tower. Unveil the nightmare.

Living World Season 1 content is free for all players, permanently. Complete the original episode achievements and new achievements to earn unique rewards, including the new Antitoxin Gloves!

This release includes a new instanced group encounter, the Tower of Nightmares. Enter with a premade squad or take on the tower’s challenges in a freely joinable public instance.

Celebrate Guild Wars 2's tenth anniversary and the launch of Guild Wars 2 on Steam with our first Twitch Drops campaign! From August 23 at 12 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to August 28 at 11:59 p.m. (UTC-7), you can earn in-game rewards for watching any Twitch channel broadcasting Guild Wars 2.

How to Participate
You simply need to link your Twitch account with your Guild Wars 2 account, log in to Twitch, and watch any Guild Wars 2 broadcast with the "Drops Enabled" tag while the campaign is active.

Account Linking Instructions

• Log in to the ArenaNet Account Management Site and navigate to the "Applications" tab.
  
• In the "Account Linking" section, click "Connect" next to Twitch.
  
• Follow the prompts to connect your Guild Wars 2 and Twitch accounts*.
  
• You're ready to watch!
  

Once you've linked accounts and met the watch-time goal for a reward, you'll need to claim the reward on Twitch before it will be delivered to you in-game. You'll get a notification in Twitch chat to claim it after you've met a goal, or you can claim your rewards from your Drops Inventory on Twitch. Once you claim the reward on Twitch, it will be delivered to your in-game mail within an hour. You can learn more about Twitch Drops on Twitch's help site.

*Note: Only one Twitch account can be associated with a Guild Wars 2 account for each Twitch Drops campaign.

**Participants in our 10th Anniversary Twitch Drops event are intended to receive 2 Heroic Boosters after watching an eligible Guild Wars 2 Twitch livestream for 30 minutes. Due to a bug players are only receiving a single Heroic Booster.

To address this, after the Twitch Drops event has concluded we’ll be sending any player that completed the Heroic Booster watch time requirement two additional boosters via in-game mail for a total of three boosters.

The 10th anniversary of Guild Wars 2 is here! It's time to celebrate our incredible community and a decade of adventures in Tyria, so let's jump in to see what's in store.

[h3]Guild Wars 2 10th Anniversary Event[/h3]



When you log in today, you'll find a new series of achievements waiting for you that will take you on a journey to experience the best of Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, world bosses, Living World, World vs. World, Player vs. Player, and more.



As you complete these tasks you'll earn Proofs of Legend, which can be traded in for the new Decade's armor set. Characters who are turning ten themselves will also receive an extra Proof of Legend to kickstart their collection. Speak to an ancient armorsmith in one of the capital cities or Lion's Arch to trade in your Proofs of Legend and collect your rewards. Complete enough achievements and you'll also unlock the Decade's War cape skin and your choice of a weapon from the new Dragon Decade set.



These achievements are permanent additions to the game for all current and future players.

[h3]Life Is Better with Friends[/h3]

Log in and check the Gem Store today to get a free Life with Friends Box, containing five Teleport to Friend tokens and one Revive Orb. And don't forget to log in later this week to claim a free Communal Boost Bonfire. We'll have additional Gem Store giveaways running through the end of August.

To welcome our friends joining us from Steam, we are also offering the following bundles for new players to jump-start their new adventures in Tyria. These are available for purchase by all:

Steam players can experience the entire base Guild Wars 2 game for free! You can upgrade your account with expansions at any time to remove the restrictions placed on free accounts.

Ten years ago, the launch of Guild Wars 2 opened a new window into the world of Tyria. Three expansions, five seasons of Living World releases, and countless updates later, we're still inspired by the dedication of the game's fans.

To commemorate this anniversary for new and veteran players alike, we've added a series of new achievements taking you across the game to earn Proofs of Legend, which you can trade for the new Decade's armor set. If you're busy this week, no need to worry—these achievements and the armor set will be available permanently. Characters who are turning ten themselves will also be receiving an extra Proof of Legend to kickstart their collection. If you have extras, you can trade them for some treats to share with your friends.
