Update 9.4 marks the drop of third and final expansion in the Price of Power set - Harvest of Sorrow. While it's definitely the main star of the show, as usual we introduce other changes, including balance to the existing cards. Read below in detail what new things you can expect with this release.

Seasonal modes in October



05.10. - 12.10. Battle Rush

  • Both players have just 8 seconds to complete their turn and 15 seconds to complete the redrawing phrase.


12.10. - 19.10. Seesaw

  • On the end of the player's turn: Damage player's odd power units by 1, Boost player's even power units by 1


19.10. - 28.10. Switcheroo

  • After two turns players switch hands.


This season is planned to end on October 28th, 10:00 a.m. CET.

Changes



  • Updated the recommended cards in the deck builder for each leader ability.
  • Reworked the implementation of how the Spying status is granted: The tooltips of affected cards have been adjusted.
  • Spying is no longer implicitly granted to units that are moved to, spawned on or played on the opponent's side, unless specified in the tooltip.
  • Seize now gives/removes Spying before the unit is moved. Disloyal units all gain Spying when played.
  • Added the option to not save the deck after making changes.

  • Blood Money: Provision bonus changed from 15 to 16.
  • Tamara Strenger: Power changed from 4 to 5.
  • Tunnel Drill: Ability changed to: Profit 2 Fee 2: Damage an enemy unit by 1. If you played a Crime this turn, damage an enemy unit by 3 instead.



Game Fixes



  • The client window no longer registers input when not in focus.
  • It is no longer possible to queue up conflicting actions on a gamepad while pressing more than one button simultaneously.
  • Leticia Charbonneau's tooltip now correctly shows that she can increase her own Patience level if her Order is reset during the same turn.
  • The Doomed status can no longer be granted to units with Veil when being played or Summoned from the graveyard. 
  • Salamandra Abomination will now correctly trigger VFX when Purifying itself.
  • Playing specials from the opponent's deck (e.g. via Cantarella) will now correctly update Orb of Insight's Counter.
  • Tissaia de Vries now correctly resets the Order abilities of all mages, not only those from the Northern Realms.

  • After mulligan Banish both players deck. Whenever a card appears in any deck, Banish it.
07.09. - 14.09. Double Down
  • Whenever you play a unit from your hand, play a unit with the same Provision Cost from your deck. Your starting deck is doubled in size at the start of the match.
14.09. - 21.09. Patience is a virtue!
  • At the start of your turn, transform all cards in your hand into random ones that cost 1 provision more.
21.09. - 28.09. Dual Casting
  • Once per turn, when you play a special card, spawn and play a copy of it immediately after.
28.09. - 05.10. Power Shift
  • At the start of the match, set the power of every unit in your starting deck to its Provision Cost.

Season of the Draconid begins!

Quite a lot of things are happening with the 9.2 update. This patch introduces the newest expansion in the Price of Power set: Thanedd Coup, coupled with a Aretuza focused Journey. On top of that to keep things even more interesting, we introduce numerous balance changes, some of which adjust the existing cards to unleash their new potential when played along with the newly introduced cards. Read on all of the changes and new features below.

Each played unit has resilience.

10.08. - 17.08. Plus One

Whenever you play a unit, spawn a 1-power copy of it at the end of it's row.

17.08. - 24.08. Trial of the Grasses

Whenever a unit appears on the board, damage it by 2 then boost it by 4. If it's a Witcher, the damage is not dealt.

24.08. - 02.09. Irresistible Attraction

Whenever you play a non-Spying unit, move a random enemy unit with the same power to the opposite side.

High resolution textures for game boards

A New Journey!

  • New type - Meet Alissa & Tissaia de Vries - Powerful mages that will introduce you to life in Aretuza, a magical academy for young ladies.
  • Rewards - A lot of new rewards to unlock in the Standard and Premium paths, including gameboards and a new type of vanity: music - connected to the boards.
  • Contracts - Unlock even more ornaments by playing matches with your favorite vanities.
  • Story - Alissa's diary from the time when she was a young student at Aretuza, added each week along with new quests.

  • Deafening Siren's tooltip now properly reflects that it's Doomed.
  • Erland of Larvik's Order will now be deactivated when player has no boosted units in the deck.

Season of the Griffin and Update 9.1 are LIVE!


Update 9.1 is the Patch between the release of the first and second drop of the Price of Power expansion.

It focuses on fixing a number of gameplay bugs while adjusting the strength of a group of cards across all factions.

Besides that, it sets the stage for our upcoming WitcherCon event.

But who are we kidding, the biggest highlight is Vaedermakar getting his deserved Druid category.
