You’ll get to learn about folks from both Gearbox and 2K, and how each person who touches the game both influences and is influenced by Borderlands 4. This week, we're talking with Julian Molina, 2K’s Release Operations Manager:[/p][p][/p][p]What’s one behind-the-scenes challenge of game releases that players might not realize?[/p][p]Julian: There are many moving pieces that are needed in pretty much every aspect of the release process that require a lot of people pitching in. As the person who leads the submission process for the publisher side, I get to talk to a lot of different people in different disciplines, getting their insight and aligning folks to the same goal - connecting our players to 2K and our games, through the medium of the First Party store pages. The challenge is working with a lot of minds; everyone has their own views and perspectives, but in the end it's pretty rewarding for everyone involved, as we all get to pull together to hit these achievements time and time again.[/p][p][/p][p]What’s the most rewarding part of your role when you see a release go live?[/p][p]Julian: The process of getting our titles prepared for release starts out on paper. It's intangible and just a plan of action, so the thing I love seeing is the actualization of content coming to life. It doesn't get old, even after 40 titles during my time here at 2K. I also like actually playing most of our games (which I would play even if I didn't work here), so it's fun to be a part of the process, and see people enjoy and comment on everything. I also like to see players’ responses to everything, good or bad, as it gives me a view of what it is that people want from our world here in gaming, and tempering even my own expectations.[/p][p][/p][p]Do you remember the very first game launch you worked on? What was that experience like?[/p][p]Julian: I started in the industry as a QA tester in 2016 working on a big release which admittedly was a fantastic introduction to 2K. In my current role in Release Operations, the first game I had ever submitted and helped release was a sports title back in 2018. It was a completely new world compared to QA testing, but it really sparked my interest in looking at the totality of this industry and what it takes to get our catalog of games out to the public. Getting to meet new people, both in 2K and with our partners, was probably the most eye-opening aspect of being introduced into this world. I got to gain an appreciation for everyone involved, not just our little corner.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Community Creative Corner[/h3][p]Our community members aren’t just gamers—many of you are also artists. Whether it’s cosplay, digital art, or some yet-to-be-invented medium, we’re your biggest fans. Check out this week’s hand-picked fan creations:[/p][p][/p][p]- bareee[/p][p][/p][p]- devvadoodles[/p][p][/p][p]- one-eyedqueer[/p][p][/p][p]That’s it for this week—with more updates, more chaos, and maybe a few surprises coming next Friday. Until then: keep your ECHOnet tuned and your loot luck high.[/p][p]Happy Hunting,
The Borderlands Team[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]

Amon Community Challenge: Vault Boss Eradicator

[p]Last week, we kicked off a series of Borderlands 4 Community Challenges to unlock a new cosmetic for each Vault Hunter—and everyone did their part to earn the "Savings Savior" Vault Hunter skin usable by Rafa the Exo-Soldier. [/p][p][/p][p]Now it's time for all you Amon the Forgeknight mains to show us what you're made of, embodying Amon's lifelong pursuit to annihilate any and all Vault monsters. If these Community Challenge conditions are successfully met, we'll share out a SHiFT code for the reward* that'll be redeemable by all:[/p][p][/p]
[p][/p][p]COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: Vault Boss Eradicator[/p][p][/p][p]From October 3-5, collectively get 300,000 Vault Boss kills as Amon to earn:[/p]
  • [p]"Cult Classic" Vault Hunter skin usable by Amon[/p]
[p][/p][p]There are three Vault Boss encounters awaiting you on Kairos, and we'll be tallying all the successful slayings of Primordial Guardian Inceptus, Primordial Guardian Origo, and Primordial Guardian Radix by Amon players. To reach these Vault Bosses, you'll need to collect enough Vault Key Fragments (reclaiming Silos will help, as outlined in our Borderlands 4 Quick Tips article), then track down their respective Primordial Vault and delve into these high-level dungeons.[/p][p][/p][p]Felling a Vault Boss is no easy feat, so you'll definitely want a high-level Amon with a strong build and powerful loadout going in. Fortunately for all you warrior-poets, Amon received a beefy set of buffs in the October 2 Update. This Community Challenge is themed around Amon's undying hatred for Vault monsters, as violently depicted in Amon's Character Short "Demons": [/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]

Borderlands 4's buff bonanza brings my favorite build up to par with the pack

The first big Borderlands 4 balancing patch has landed, and after spending some time with it I'm already feeling very positive about the overall direction. I'm increasingly satisfied with Gearbox's latest the more I play, which certainly ranks among the best FPS games in recent years and I suspect will keep me coming back with a frequency I haven't seen since BL2. While we're still waiting for more performance optimization on PC, Gearbox has now rolled out a massive set of Borderlands 4 update notes that deliver buffs to its entire cast, and the effects are immediately noticeable.

Borderlands 4 Shift codes October 2025

October 3, 2025: We added one new Borderlands 4 shift code and removed 11 expired codes.

What are the latest Borderlands 4 Shift codes? In the new era of Gearbox's shooter, loot is more plentiful than ever. There are new guns everywhere you look, but you can never have too much free stuff. When you redeem Shift codes, you're rewarded with loot chests to open and various other extra goodies.

Much like codes in other games, Borderlands 4 redeem codes are often released for just a short period of time. Only a select few will be available throughout the game's life cycle, but you'll need to be quick on the draw with some codes for the FPS game. We have all the active Shift codes to redeem right now, as well as instructions to redeem them while you hunt for all Borderlands 4 legendary weapons.
