Hotfix 1

  • Centered “reload” text. X
  • At UI scale 1.2x, stats going off the screen fixed
  • Block Ability is now offset correctly
  • Fixed Endless spinning on the main menu if your FPS is low
  • UI scale changes now save to file
  • Volume settings apply on game startup
  • Fixed Library only producing Secondary Abilities
  • There is now no green when transitioning between Helheim rooms
  • Adjusted Vanaheim pitted room
  • Fixes some particle game hitches (some hitches still remain)


More fixes will be coming.

If our upgrade in Engine isn't working for you consider rolling back on a beta branch to either "rollback_pre_translations" or "rollback_sept_23_2020".

Rhythm-based shooter BPM: Bullets Per Minute heads to consoles in October

Playtonic Friends has announced that BPM: Bullets Per Minute, the first title from its new publishing label, is coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

Developed by Awe Interactive and originally released last September on PC, the game is described as a fast and frenetic rhythm-based shooter with dungeon-based action. In the game, a single move, shot, jump, and dodge will be pulled off to the beat of a rock soundtrack.

With the game, console players will be able to play additional content that was rolled out for the PC version including five brand new characters, three new weapons, a brand new chapter with its own unique enemies, two new difficulties, and a mixture new items, achievements, and assorted tweaks.

BPM: Localisation & Performance Upgrade

  • Localisation added for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese - Simplified
  • “The Crypt” track added to the Steam OST
  • “Reload by Firing” Setting
    When turned on, the firing your weapon button also acts as the reload button
  • Photosensitivity Warning
  • Performance Optimisations
  • Memory Optimisations ( the game uses 40% of the RAM it used to! )
  • Lighting and graphics have been optimised to improve performance on low-end PCs
  • Improvements to stutters (some do remain)
  • Improvements to autoaim on gamepad
  • Improvements to loading times
  • Latency Test added
    This does NOT fix or calibrate any latency issues, but will reveal them if present. Extreme latency will make BPM unplayable in it’s intended way of playing. If detected, the game will turn on Assisted-Rhythm mode. (99% of PC players will not have any issue with latency. The majority of latency issues will come from BPM being played on TVs with poor latency, and bluetooth headphones/speakers)

  • Fixed bug in Vanaheim where enemy spawns directly in front of you
  • Fixed double weapon glitch (Mengiyord)
  • Fixed revolver pickup sound playing during loading screens
  • Fixed Multiplier UI glitch
  • Fixed glitch in Svartalfheim where an enemy can teleport behind the wall
  • Removed Herobrine
  • + many more


This update has put us in a good place with lots of optimisations for consoles that we can build on in our future games. We aren't done with the BPM franchise folks!

В апреле 2020 года инди-разработчик Дэн Да Роча выложил в социальной сети Twitter небольшой ролик с интересным концептом шутера, в котором нужно стрелять в определенном ритме под музыку. Видео оказалось весьма популярным, его даже заметил сам Клифф Блезински, отец серий Unreal и Gears, назвавший идею энтузиаста самой инновационной в жанре FPS со времен SUPERHOT. Дэн решил воплотить свою задумку в жизнь и начал разрабатывать проект Gun Jam, но каково было его удивление, когда буквально через месяц состоялся анонс другой игры в таком же стиле - BPM: Bullets Per Minute, а чуть позже и еще одной - Metal: Hellsinger. Несмотря на то, что Gun Jam анонсировали раньше, именно BPM успела сорвать куш и выстрелить самой первой.
