Executive Producer Letter - Q3 2025

[p]
[/p][p]Hi folks! [/p][p]We are closing in towards the end of the year, and a lot of exciting things have been happening in SWTOR with more to come! As always, I’ll give a breakdown of what’s happened in the last few months and offer a peek into what players can expect in the near future. [/p][p]Updates on story content[/p][p]We hosted the Game Update 7.7.1 developer livestream back on July 30th where we provided an update on the next two story beats for Legacy of the Sith. We’re still seeing a lot of questions asking what’s happening with story content, so here’s a reminder![/p][p]The Galactic Threads story will be coming with 7.8 with Master’s Enigma to follow in 7.8.1! I do want to address some of the missing pieces we have mentioned in our previous stream and how this could impact 7.8.[/p][p]We currently have all English voices loaded and ready to go, however, there are still some that we do not have for all French and German lines. We are working diligently with all of our partners and talent to get these in place for 7.8 but it is possible as of the writing of this Producer Letter that they may not be ready for 7.8’s launch. [/p][p]If that happens, we’ll share more about how players using a French or German client can play Galactic Threads on the 7.8 Livestream. I just wanted to lift the veil a bit on the status of things we have been alluding to on our previous streams. Thank you for your continued patience!
[/p][p]Galactic Season 9 and Quality of Life Updates in Activity Finder[/p][p]We launched Game Update 7.7.1 “Flashpoint Resurgence” on August 19, and it came with Galactic Season 9 and many Quality of Life (QoL) adjustments! [/p][p]In GS9 “Flashpoint Resurgence”, players are once again assisting Kai Zykken with testing a new version of the Experimental Combat Enhancers created by Czerka. These adrenal boosts can only be used in Flashpoints. As players make progress through the reward track(s), they can earn many new rewards. Details can be found here.[/p][p]During this Galactic Season, players are encouraged to use a revamped Activity Finder Window. Updates such as players being able to choose all the roles they are eligible for through a dropdown and being able to change their Combat Style while in queue are just a couple of the changes made. More details can be found here. [/p][p]A significant improvement we also made is that the cinematic scenes will be automatically skipped for veteran players who use Activity Finder to group up for Veteran or Master Mode Flashpoints. This saves countless requests for players to press spacebar throughout the Flashpoint.
[/p][p]Improvements for F2P/Preferred players[/p][p]We’re continuing to make systematic adjustments to improve the overall experience for F2P/Preferred players! With 7.7.1, F2P/Preferred players were able to: [/p]
  • [p]Gain access to companion customizations[/p]
  • [p]Gain access to use Legacy Titles[/p]
  • [p]Earn Rest XP[/p]
  • [p]Gain the first Cargo Bay for free[/p]
  • [p]Use the Hide Head slot[/p]
  • [p]Withdraw more credits from Escrow when using Cartel Coins[/p]
[p]Additionally, all account types will have access to all quickbars.
[/p][p]Security Key Update[/p][p]Players who have a Security Key tied to their account will only receive their Cartel Coin grants when logging in if their last grant was more than 29 days prior. To add a Security Key to your SWTOR account, go to your account page on our website. All commonly used authenticators are accepted, so get your free Cartel Coins and help protect your account from being compromised.
[/p][p]What else is happening?[/p][p]We’ve released some special rewards for active Subscribers! From now until October 14th, Subscribers will receive the GDW Weaponcarrier Mount upon logging into the game. This special mount is both companion and minipet friendly! [/p][p]

[/p][p]From now until December 9th, when active Subscribers login at least four times a week, they will receive special tokens that can be turned into a vendor on the Fleet for a variety of rewards including level 340 Purple Gear, droid customizations inspired by K-2SO from the Disney+ series Andor™, and more! Details can be found here. [/p][p]

[/p][p]What’s coming up? [/p][p]Roll out of 7.8 content[/p][p]We will be hosting a developer livestream sometime in mid November. Ahead of that livestream players will also get a chance to test some 7.8s content on our Public Test Server. Stay tuned for that announcement in the next couple weeks but let's just say Dantooine is in for some change... and it's going to be Dynamic.[/p][p]What else is coming in 7.8? We’ll reveal everything else in the next developer’s livestream.
[/p][p]Texas Stars Hockey Game [/p][p]We will be taking part and celebrating Star Wars™ Night at the HEB Center in Cedar Park on January 30, 2026 with local Star Wars™ fans and hockey lovers. We will have a table set up and will be giving away posters and a variety of different codes (including subscriptions and Cartel Coins)! So yes, this does mean you will be able to meet developers from the team! More details can be found here and we hope to see you at the game. [/p][p]-Keith [/p]
