Thank you to all the players who have been providing feedback on our previous phase of PTS featuring Loadouts, the newly updated Character Creation flow, and the Gunslinger, Commando, and Shadow Combat Styles.

Earlier this week we opened PTS up again and this time around, we are happy to announce the return of PTS rewards! During the holidays, you will be able to earn PTS rewards by completing the following tasks:

• Log into PTS
  
  • New “Led the Charge” Title
• Complete the Class Story on any class
  
  • “First Line of Defense” Title
• Complete all expansion Story content
  
  • “The Cutting Edge” Title
• Reach item rating 322 with one of your characters and complete the PvP, Heroic, and Flashpoint Weekly Missions
  
  • “Strike Team Specialist” Title, “Strike Team Commander” Title, and Kai Zykken’s MK-85 Log Mount
• Complete all the above
  
  • New “Strike Team Hero” Title and New Kai Zykken’s MK-90 Holo-Log Mount

*All rewards will be distributed with the launch of Legacy of the Sith.
*To further celebrate our anniversary, we are bringing back The First Line of Defense and The Cutting Edge Titles which have not been available since PTS near Star Wars: The Old Republic’s launch.

While players are logging into PTS to earn that new title, they will also notice a couple more systems have been added to be tested. Most notably:

We reached out to Kai Zykken, noted interplanetary adventurer/entrepreneur, for a description of the MK-90 Holo-Log Mount:

“Well, so many people came to me after we released the old MK-85 Log Mount, and said ‘Wow! So impressive and ingenious!’ and I said ‘Of course, I’m the one who made it!'

But everyone knows Kai Zykken doesn’t settle for perfection. So I scoured the galaxy for a new breed of log: a log that would be sleeker and faster; a log that wouldn’t give you splinters every time you sat on it or grow mold in the rain; a log that was constantly glowing so that no one could possibly look at anything but me... I mean, you, as you ride by!

I never found that log, but I did find a state-of-the-art shipment of holoprojectors!** Mix in a secondhand swoop engine and a few dabs of Corellian industrial adhesive and boom, the MK-90 Holo-Log Mount was born!”


*Kai Zykken may not have actually made any components in the original MK-85 Log Mount.
**Any similarity between the holoprojectors used in the MK-90 Holo-log Mount and those reported stolen from a storage facility on Carrick Station are coincidental until proven otherwise in a court of law.

• Life Day Celebration - Life Day is back from December 14, 2021 to January 11, 2022! Throw snowballs and complete Conquest Objectives and Achievements to earn festive rewards!
  
• Ten-Year Anniversary
  • Celebrate our Ten-Year Anniversary with us! To kick-off this year of celebration, the “Anniversary Personnel” Vendor is available on the Fleet from December 14, 2021 until January 2023. Their inventory will be updated throughout the whole year, beginning with new planned rewards and contest-winning decorations with the launch of ‘Legacy of the Sith’ in February 2022.
    
  • Both Dromund Kaas and Coruscant Strongholds have received their annual discount, and can be purchased for only ten credits until the launch of ‘Legacy of the Sith’ expansion!
    
  • Added Renown Boosts to the Anniversary Personnel Vendor’s inventory.
    
• Double XP - Starting December 20, 2021 and lasting until January 4, 2022, enjoy two weeks full of Double XP, Valor, and Renown.
  
• Feast of Prosperity - The Feast of Prosperity event will be back from January 11, 2022 until February 1, 2022! Help Gaboorga the Abundant and Duuba the Magnanimous restore the Cartel’s influence during the 3 weeks of the event.
  
• Conquest - Prepare for Total War as tensions between the Empire and Republic increase leading into ‘Legacy of the Sith’! Total War Conquest will run for Conquest weeks beginning December 21st, January 4th, and January 18th.
  

We will be taking the servers offline on December 14, 2021 to deploy Game Update 6.3.2b.

The remote planet Dantooine has been thrust into the center of escalating hostilities between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Spurred on in secret by covert Imperial forces, the Nova Blade pirates have staged an all-out attack on the pastoral Republic world. As the Republic scrambles to defend this key territory at the edge of Imperial space, the Empire plans to capitalize on the chaos and deal a major blow to the longtime Republic bastion.

It is that time of the year again - denizens across the galaxy get ready to celebrate Life Day! Special Missions like “A Special Snowflake”, “Parcel Droid”, and “Could Use a Good Hug” are available during this limited time. Throwing snowballs and participating in these Missions will earn players Snow-Covered Parcels, redeemable for unique rewards. Get out there, throw some snowballs, hug some Wookiees, and most importantly, have fun! Note: this will be the same iteration as 2020, so there will be no new Missions, Achievements, or rewards.

We are happy to celebrate out 10th anniversary on December 20th! With this being a huge milestone, we are going to celebrate the anniversary all year long! To mark this occasion, a special “Anniversary Personnel” vendor can be found on the fleet with new Class Ship Stronghold Decorations. All previous anniversary rewards will also be available during this limited time as well. Alongside this, both the Coruscant and Dromund Kaas Strongholds will be available for only ten credits each! Note: the new items that are planned for this event won't be added until the launch of 'Legacy of the Sith' in February 2022.

Bounty Contract Week Date: December 28th, 2021 - January 4th, 2022 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 12:00PM GMT)
Requirement: Level 15+

For a limited time, the Bounty Brokers Association has opened its doors to anyone willing to take on their dangerous contracts, offering an opportunity for both seasoned and rookie hunters to prove their skills and bring crime syndicates and violent gangs to justice!

Each day, you can sign up for one standard Henchman contract and one high profile Kingpin Contract, and each may take you to a separate planet. Complete five standard contracts to unlock Kingpin missions with bigger loot! Head to the fleet now, invite your friends and visit representatives of the Association to get started on your contracts!

As announced in Keith Kanneg’s letter, the Legacy of the Sith expansion has been delayed to February 15, 2022.

We value the feedback our players have provided us, as it has helped shape Star Wars: The Old Republic these past ten years. We have opened our Public Test Server (PTS) once again so players will have the opportunity to give us feedback on all that 7.0 has to offer, with the exception of story-related content to avoid spoilers. As with previous instances, PTS leading up to launch will be updated in phases.

For this week, players will be able to give initial feedback on Loadouts and the new Character creation experience, in addition to changes and updates we have made since the most recent phase of PTS. We invite players to interact with these features and provide feedback here.

We will be updating our forums with new PTS updates as they happen, so we encourage all players interested in participating in the PTS to keep an eye on our Public Test Server sub-forums and the dev tracker.

Please note that the Manaan storyline and Solo-Story Mode of the Elom Flashpoint are not available on PTS to avoid Story spoilers.
