It’s been a week since our latest update, and we’ve seen the excitement growing around the new White-tailed deer antler variations. You’ve been out there exploring, spotting, and snapping shots — so we figured, why not turn that excitement into a little friendly competition?

We’re launching the Screenshot Contest 2025, a celebration of creative hunting moments featuring White-tailed deer with standout antler racks, captured in their natural digital habitat.

Submit your best in-game screenshot featuring a White-tailed deer with unique antlers - ideally with some scenic flair to match. Think composition, lighting, and that “wow” factor.

[/h3]Five winners will be selected by our internal jury of developers. Winners will receive a Way of the Hunter game key - your pick of the base game or any DLC, on the platform of your choice.

Update 1.26.8 is now live on all platforms. This update introduces new Albino rare furs for Sambar deer, Gemsbok, and Springbok, along with new antler variations for White-tailed deer. We’ve also added a genetic potential UI toggle and set ranger difficulty to OFF by default. Additionally, we’ve fixed some key issues, including the fast travel crash when entering the lodge with full taxidermy stands, the Objective Toggle bug.
