Civ Streams: The Antiquity Age

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

We just hosted the first Civ Streams developer livestream, showcasing The Antiquity Age in Sid Meier's Civilization® VII! In the VOD above, you can rewatch the stream, which includes tons of live gameplay and insights from the developers.

The Antiquity Age was the main focus for the first installment of Civ Streams, but it also gave us a great opportunity to talk about Ages in general, and how they shape new strategic possibilities in Civilization VII. To supplement the discussion from the livestream, make sure you check out the new Dev Diary #1: Ages article from Creative Director Ed Beach, where he delves deeper into the game mechanics of Ages and the ways your past decisions will shape the future of your empire during each campaign. We've also updated the Ages in Civilization VII Game Guide page to reflect the latest info.

During the stream, we also debuted the First Look video for Hatshepsut, who now has her own page in the Leaders section of the Civilization VII Game Guide. We'll be showing off more leaders in the coming weeks, each accompanied by a First Look video that gives an overview of their general playstyle and tactical strengths!

We also added the Game Guide page for Greece to the list of Civilizations Game Guide pages. As we continue to build out the Game Guide with more reveals of leaders and civs, you'll get a better sense of how the Unique Ability of each leader can synergize with the different civs' Unique Ability, Civic Trees, Unique Units, and more.

We hope you enjoyed the first Civ Streams developer livestream, and we have many more to come! Thanks to everyone who tuned in, and make sure to follow the Firaxis Games Twitch channel so you don't miss any upcoming Civ Streams, where you can engage with the developers in real-time!

Civ 7 will potentially launch with Denuvo, based on Steam update

Civilization 7, the next entry to the long running strategy series from Marvel's Midnight Suns, XCOM 2, and Civilization 6 creator Firaxis Games, is set to come out next February. It looks to be a solid iteration on the classic historical strategy design that's made Civ so successful for decades now. However, it may launch with the inclusion of controversial anti-piracy and anti-tampering software Denuvo, as evidenced by updates in Steam's back end recorded by SteamDB.
