Welcome to our Archiblog #7!

We’re now just about two months away from the launch of Architect Life! Our team is still hard at work refining the game based on the feedback you shared with us during the demo earlier this year. Right now we are focusing on improving the tutorial and the keyboard/mouse experiences.

Today, let’s take a closer look at the different game modes you’ll be able to enjoy when Architect Life launches this June: Tutorial, Career, and Free Mode.

Whether you're a methodical planner or a creative spirit, Architect Life offers several ways to enjoy life as an architect, your way.

1-Tutorial
Learn the basics of architecture, step by step.

The tutorial mode is designed for new players or those who want to familiarize themselves with the game’s tools and mechanics.

🔹 Goal: Learn the fundamentals of design and construction at your own pace.

🔹 What to expect:
  • Get introduced to core design tools (walls, roofs, windows, furniture, and more).
  • Understand key rules and constraints: materials, budget, and structural logic.
  • Hands-on practicing to place elements, adjust dimensions, and decorate spaces.
  • Follow guided scenarios to see how various components interact.
📌 Best for: Beginners and players who want to master the mechanics before jumping into bigger projects.

In our previous Archiblog, we talked to you about the revamped tutorial we're working on based on your feedback during the demo. Our goal? To deliver a smoother, more intuitive first experience that follows the natural phases of an architectural project, from conception to delivery.

To make things clearer, we’ve structured the tutorial into three main sections: Fundamentals, Delivery, and Advanced. You’ll progress step by step using the standard UI and gameplay features, starting with essential tools. Each step of the tutorial will also be shorter, more dynamic, and easier to follow, with fewer text blocks and more visual guidance. All tutorials will be available from the start so you can choose to do the ones fitting your needs.

2-Career
Climb the ladder, become a renowned architect and lead increasingly ambitious projects!

In career mode, you start as a young architect and work your way up by completing contracts and designing various buildings.

🔹 Goal: Build your reputation, manage your cash balance, and satisfy client expectations.

🔹 What to expect:
  • Progressively complex contracts: Start with small project and progressively get access to more complex structures, challenges and skills.
  • Budget and resource management: Work with limited budget, optimize space, and follow regulations.
  • Demanding clients: Some have specific design preferences, while others have tight budgets, learn to balance constraints.
  • Unlock skills and innovations: Adapt to obstacles and tackle challenges thanks to advanced perks earned through experience.
📌 Best for: Players who enjoy progression, diverse challenges, and strategic decision-making.

3-Free Build
Create your dream home! No limits, just creativity!

Free mode is made for players who want full freedom to design whatever they can imagine.



🔹 Goal: Let your imagination run wild with no constraints.

🔹 What to expect:
  • No budgets or restrictions: Build freely without financial constraints.
  • Build anything: From huge villas to cozy cottages or even wild experiments / recreate your own home.
  • Custom challenges: Create your own rules, design an energy-efficient home, or build a tiny house with max functionality.
📌 Best for: Creative minds who love experimentation and pushing architectural boundaries.

Archiblog #6: A Message from the devs



For this sixth edition of the Archiblog, we want to take a moment to thank you. After two weeks of the demo, what an incredible experience it has been for Architect Life!

We’ve seen the community of future architects grow steadily, and it’s an absolute honor to share this journey with you.

Your feedback, in all its forms, is invaluable to us. It helps us refine and improve the game continuously. We’ve loved engaging with you and involving you in the game’s evolution.

Upcoming changes


That’s why we’re actively working on improvements based on your input after the demo. Here’s what we’re already focusing on:
  • Keyboard/Mouse controls improvement
  • UI & navigation improvement
  • Addition of Imperial Measure system option (inches/feets units)
  • A complete tutorial rework

Regarding the tutorial, we want to provide a new learning experience that introduces the gameplay in a structured, step-by-step approach, mirroring both the game’s progression and the key phases of an architectural project. Using the standard UI and functions, you'll advance logically and progressively.

The tutorial will guide you from the basics, starting with essential tools and the initial conception phase, through construction and delivery. Advanced tools will be available for you to explore at your own pace.

Our goal is to make the first experience in the game more intuitive, streamlined, and engaging, with a clearer flow, less text, more highlights and shorter! You’ll be able to navigate more freely, jump into creation faster, and choose when to explore advanced tools.

Architect Life Demo Patch 1



Hello Architects!

Thank you for playing Architect Life and for all your valuable feedback on our Discord or on the Steam forums!

In this update, we’ve addressed several community-reported issues, including a fix for the language selection bug and improvements to overall stability.

We've also implemented an initial solution for multiple crash reports. However, if you continue to experience any crashes, please let us know so we can investigate further!


Architect Life Demo - Patch 1


[h2]Improvements and Fixes:[/h2]
  • Language Selection Bug - Performing a clean install (deleting the Architect folder in AppData) should prevent the language prompt from appearing on the first boot in the demo version. However, after this initial setup, language changes and reboots should function correctly.
  • AZERTY Keyboard Issue - Due to limited reports, we are still investigating this issue further.
[h2]Stability improvements[/h2]
We've implemented initial fixes for the following crashes. In our tests, these issues were not reproduced on our end anymore, but we are continuing to investigate. If you still encounter these crashes, please report them to us.
  • Crash when moving a wall in the demo.
  • Crash when placing a door on a wall while the building is surrounded by fences.
  • Crash when separating a fenced area with a room inside.
  • Crash after deleting a curved fence.
  • Crash after placing fences around a specific house.
  • Crash related to placing interior doors on partitions.
  • Crash occurring while playing in Free Mode.
  • Crash when using the "Move a Wall" feature.
  • Crash related to the Wall Edit tool.
