Dear explorers,

Today, May 14th, 2021 the price of The Fabled Woods will change to $9.99. I wanted to make a post explaining why this is happening and what I’m doing.

One of the largest pieces of feedback I’ve received is that the game simply costs too much. I want everyone to know, I am listening and implementing feedback as fast as I can. So why did this decision take until now to happen?

When there is a bug in the game and it’s reported, I can open up Unreal Engine 4 and start working on it immediately. This is not the same for pricing however.

Changing the price on a game is not something that either store takes lightly, and neither do I. There are many who may ask “I bought the game at $16.99. I want my refund!”. Unfortunately, Steam does not let us give refunds like that. If you are angered by this decision and feel that I have in any way done wrong by you, I completely understand your refund.

The last month and a half has been a roller coaster of emotions. I want everyone to know I am listening and doing my best. I stand by this decision to lower the price as that is what the players are telling me in our reviews. I am listening to you, the players. Without all of you, there would be no CyberPunch Studios.

I hope this post finds you well. The latest update, patch 1.0.5 is here! This is a small but important update to address the fatal crash error people were receiving upon launching the game.

Bug Fixes:

• Fatal Error crash on startup

The new update 1.0.4 for The Fabled Woods is live! Here is the list of additions and issues that are now fixed:

• Added Invert Y option for controllers
  
• Added an option to turn off mouse smoothing
  
• Graphics now properly apply after making changes
  
• Ray Tracing performance has been stabilized
  
• General performance optimizations
  
• Launcher has been changed to allow launching the game in DX11 mode to avoid DX12 crashes
  
• Support has been added for Chinese (Simplified) and Spanish
  
• You should no longer encounter an invisible wall at the 3rd bridge on a new game

The second update 1.0.2 for The Fabled Woods is live! Here is the list of issues that are now fixed:

• Fixed Keys falling through dresser
  
• Fixed cabin door not always shutting behind player when first entering cabin
  
• Key by the lake on the pier no longer flies away when picking up newspaper
  
• The remember view has been extended to last longer
  
• You can no longer get stuck inside of the remember view
  
• The trigger for the purgatories have been improved and easier to see

Greetings, explorer!

I have teamed up with Razer to implement Chroma to The Fabled Woods!

I found the idea very interesting as it allows me to extend the atmosphere of the game beyond the screen through the mouse, keyboard, headset and mouse pad. I also own a Philips Hue set that, when linked with Chroma, illuminates the entire room in the colors of the game. Ingenious! ːsteamhappyː

To also let one of you dive deeper into the picturesque and dark atmosphere of The Fabled Woods, Razer and I are giving away a complete set of Razer Chroma equipment!
