Hotfix for Chapter 3

- Fixed missing vegetation in chapter 3
- Fixed Bush LODs in chapter 3

Labyrinthine Update 31/10/21

Changelog below:

- Improved Network Interpolation (i.e. people should jitter less)
- Fixed the halloween items so they spawn on the correct date
- Monsters screaming will now cause screenshake
- You now play an animation when reviving someone
- Fixed an issue where crypt and cornfields were rare at lv5
- Increased the chance for a cosmetic to spawn
- Revive changed to require holding E instead of pressing it once
- Anniversary hat added for those who purchased the game in the first year of release
- Fixed an issue where some monsters would scream twice
- Fixed the well objective
- Shows "A player just died" when infinite lives is active
- Notes now say Read instead of Pickup when examining them
- Fixed the background of the early access screen being blue
- Tweaked smiley's kill range
- Massively improved performance on the corn maze map
- Corn leaves on the ground should be static
- Added "safety net" to lobby so that failing to load an avatar won't cause a disconnect
- Fixed a navigation issue that could occur on certain maps causing the monsters to "walk in place"
- Dissolve effect changed for effigies
- Monsters should now be able to enter the tree puzzle room
- The cursor should always unlock when the go to lobby button appears (fixes an issue of not being able to click it when in bleedout)
- Improved clubfoot's vision detection
- Improved scarecrow's vision detection
- Lives should now reset between story chapters
- Fixed the lights out puzzle in the corn maze
- Potential fix for duplicated lobbies
- Monsters can no longer kill you when they are killing another player
- A bunch of smaller bug fixes not listed

One Year Anniversary



For those who don't know, it's the 1 year anniversary of Labyrinthine's release today. Doesn't time fly? To celebrate, we've put together a blog post that shares some development screenshots, memories and a thank you. It also includes sneak peeks of Chapter 5 as well as the Sewer and Manor case file maps.

We're going to be handing out an exclusive cosmetic to everyone who bought the game in the past year as a thank you from us.

As well as that, we're now on sale for the next 3 days as part of steam's Halloween sale. If you have any friends who have been thinking about picking up the game, now would be a good chance!

Small Patch to fix some issues

-Fixed unlimited lives not working for story
-Fixed navigation issues in the forest
-Fixed an issue where monsters would walk into the forest safe house
-Fixed safehouses spawning next to each other
-Fixed font issues with Chinese Translation
-Added a vignette when a monster screams
-Enabled cloud saving

Labyrinthine Halloween Event

The spooky season is upon us... Happy Halloween!


[h2]Limited Time Cosmetics[/h2]



As part of our halloween event, these new cosmetics can only be found until the 1st of November. Once unlocked, you can wear them any time of the year!

Any time a normal cosmetic would spawn, there's a 50% chance of it spawning a random halloween cosmetic instead. There are 5 pumpkin helmets, 3 witch hats and a pair of dazzling devil horns to be found!

[h2]New Map[/h2]

The cornfields, a new permanent addition to the game is now live! This map is available in the case files gamemode for anyone above level 5.

[h2]New Monster[/h2]



Within the cornfields lurks a new terror... We won't spoil the surprise but he may make you think twice about running around aimlessly....

This monster is only available on the cornfields, though he isn't guaranteed to be in every map. This is a permanent addition.

[h2]Infinite Lives are Back[/h2]



As promised, we're re-enabling our infinite lives option. This can be found at the bottom of the noticeboard when selecting a chapter/case.

Please be aware, this will cause you to take a -90% XP penalty if used for case modes!

[h2]Changes and Fixes[/h2]
- Witch speed reduced considerably making her much easier to handle.
- Vastly improved the performance of "Potato" and low quality settings.
- Improved shadow quality for higher settings.
- Improved performance of Forest map
- Improved navigation for AI
- Added new generation pieces to the kept hedges, making them more dynamic.
- Monster kills have been improved so that it's clear what's killing you.
- Several smaller bugfixes
