Rocky Mayhem 1st Anniversary - 2x Rewards Event

Hi all,

This week marks the 1 year anniversary since I started remaking Rocky Mayhem in May 2024. It also marks the 5th anniversary since I originally debuted Rocky Mayhem on steam, albeit the original version sucked compared to this. I have remained dedicated to this project over the past year, making huge improvements to the game since.

I'm happy to announce that between today and Sunday, there will be 2x rewards for anyone who completes any difficulty of Classic and Most Wanted. The reward of Reality Shift has also been increased by $10,000 for this period of time.

Without the support of the small community I have here that have played and reviewed the game for me, I wouldn't have made as many updates as I have today. Since remaking the game, I have pushed out 18 major patches including 3 boss fights, ship customisation, 6 unique abilities, new lighting system, difficulty scaling and a total of 4 new gamemodes. This is really impressive to myself as I thought I'd never be capable but here we are. Rocky Mayhem has come a long way since the 2020 Early Access version. Being entirely recreated on a different engine, with all the new features that were never shown before. Since release, there has been a total of 67 updates!

Thank you all to those that have kept playing and coming back. All the support means a lot to me and motivates me to keep going. Thanks for this wonderful 1 year :-)

Patch 18.15 - Reality Shift Difficulty Increase

Hi all,

Reason why I'm making this new post so soon after last patch is because this is it's own separate changes to experiment if it should stay or revert back to 18.1. This patch is primarily focused towards increasing the difficulty of Reality Shift, and also in turn a feature that is in Most Wanted too.

[h2]Difficulty Increase[/h2]
After extensively playing the mode, I realised that the difficulty was not that high and you could practically always be back at max health within seconds of shooting a couple of police ships. Therefore, I have made it so you have to shoot 3 ships to recover one segment of health. This makes it much more crucial to focus on enemy ships before shooting through the deities. This will also apply to Most Wanted but obviously, this patch is for testing and if it gets negative feedback, it will be reverted to 18.1 after a couple of days. Another thing to note is the Volcanic Residual has a 2% increased range, and police ships spawn 0.4s faster. The S.E.S Brute also now spawns at

As a reward, the prize of completing Reality Shift has increased from $17,500 → $27,500

Patch 18.1 - Time Trial #2, Mayhem Modifier, Bug Fixes

Hi all,

Small update, again. This update re-brands Red Light, Green Light as Evasion but still has the same premise. I feel like this name suits the game more than the previous title. All achievement names will be updated in turn.

[h3]Evasion - Time Trial #2[/h3]
Participate in the next time trial of Evasion, with a black hole modifier! Get the crystals, avoid the radius of disaster and get past the BRUTE without being spotted. Reward for completing this has increased by $250.

No Escape | Patch #18

Hi all,

My break will still be in effect... I hope! This is the last major content update before I take my break from working on this to start on another game. This update revamps Reality Shift from Patch 17 and adds new twists to the mode. I have also done a few quality of life fixes such as fixing that damn timer! Hope you all enjoy.

[h2]Reality Shift: Gravity Pull[/h2]
Fight the Reality Deity with a new mechanic to the game, gravity pull. Just like a blackhole, this mechanic pulls you towards the deity, making things much harder. The intensity of the pull is light at a range, and when you get closer, the pull gets more intense. Make use of your boosters and keep your distance from the middle!

[h2]Reality Shift: Volcanic Residual Rework[/h2]
Compared to the Frozen, Volcanic felt really under-powered in both this mode and even as a Deity. Overall, he was pretty easy to dodge and posed no threat compared to Frozen's abilities. Therefore, he is now equipped with a volcanic flamethrower that is lethal when you're in close proximity, so keep an eye out! To balance this, he has 25% less health than the frozen deity and has a short range attack.

[h3]Player Card[/h3]
Personally, I really dislike how I've implemented Stats into this game, also requiring you to go into a separate menu to claim achievements based on specific stats. Therefore, your very own player card has made it's way onto the menu! This displays everything the stats menu did, including your current balance, from the comfort of the menu. Certain achievements will also unlock on the menu if you meet the requirements. Hopefully, this is a worthy QoL fix that will make tracking your progress better.

[h3]Money Clicker v1.5[/h3]
Since I added Money Clicker, rewards for completing modes has soared by over 10 times the amount, and this mode became obsolete. I mean, making $5 every 12 clicks is terrible when one Red Light game earns you $500. Therefore, while it's not a major increase, you can now earn a maximum of $20 every 7 clicks. And, I removed any traces of the anti-cheat that disabled auto-clicker for a couple of people.

Note that I am planning on making a v2 when I return from my break, with 5 more tiers per upgrade.
