Rumors of an escapee have started to spread inside the Sinyala facility amongst Reagents and staff alike. Murkoff has initially denied the claims, but during “Project Breach”, players will meet Amelia Collier, an escaped Reagent living within the walls of the Trials.

Project Breach will introduce Amelia’s story, along with a brand new trial, a new map, a new enemy Ex-Pop, a new Rig: the Jammer, a new release ending, and more when it launches December 10 at 10am EDT, on all platforms!

[h2]New Trial Map: Downtown & MK-Challenges[/h2]

• Pleasure the Prosecutor (Trial): "He who controls what justice desires defines the contours of law. Satiate the prosecutor's more discerning pleasures."
  
• Reunite the Family (MK-Challenge): "The nuclear family is the societal ideal. Release the orphan from the shackles of the state and reunite him with mother and father."
  
• Deface the Futtermans (MK-Challenge): "Childhood memories are the stagnation that impede your growth. Put away the childish things that clutter your mind."

[h2]New Deluxe Catalog: Project Breach [/h2]

• This new Deluxe Catalog will feature 10 pages of new exclusive cosmetic items for your own self expression!
  
• Unlock the Deluxe Catalog using Murkoff Coins, earned by completing the Onboarding Catalog and other Deluxe Catalog.
  
• Note that the Project Lupara Deluxe Catalog will still be available and player Stamps will NOT BE RESET

[h2]New Limited-Time Event: Winter Kills [/h2]

Winter Kills will be returning for its second year at the Sinyala Facility! Similar to the Geister event, the Catalog will feature old and new exclusive costemtic items.

• The event will run with Part 1 taking place from December 10 - December 24; and Part 2 taking place from December 24 - January 7.
  
• Winter Kills will feature a new variator FROST MINES which have replaced the gas mines that Reagents are used to seeing in Trials.

[h2]New Enemy: Pitcher [/h2]

A new Ex-Pop foe has joined the Trials, ready to stir up chaos!

• The Pitcher is equipt with Molotov Cocktails that explode on impact, creating dangerous zones of fire.
  
• Stay sharp and keep your distance—if you get too close, the Pitcher will unleash its fiery breath to roast you alive!

[h2]New Rig: Jammer [/h2]

Noakes has been hard at work in recent months, crafting a brand-new rig for all Reagents to utilize.

• Introducing the Jammer Rig, a versatile tool designed to disable electronic devices, unlock padlocked containers and doors, and much more.

We are deploying a small patch to fix some issues that have been reported since the Geister update!

[h3]This patch includes:[/h3]

• Fixed the issue where players completing the Reagent Release Protocol were not debited their currencies and granted their rewards.
  
• Fixed a crash on PC when launching the game affecting some processor models.
  
• Fixed an issue where keybindings for PC players were not persisting between launches.

A new update is here for The Outlast Trials! Project Geister is in full swing at the Sinyala Facility! The Skinner Man is morphing and with further testing we're hoping to find out how our Reagents dreams are slipping into their terrifying reality... Gather yourselves and survive the Trials!

This update includes:

[h2]New Time Limited Event: Geister[/h2]
Project Geister is an experiment in convergent hallucinatory therapy designed to amplify unforeseen side effects of the Trials. Surviving subjects will learn to contribute to a morally hygienic Trial Environment through biohazard collection.

• This marks the first return of a previous Event in The Outlast Trials. We've made all last year's rewards available again for all players, along with a variety of new rewards.
  
• Experience the event by playing Trials in the program “Geister”.
  
• Earn Event Tokens by completing Trials and Geister Tasks.

[h3]Program Geister Variators:[/h3]

• EXTRACT ORGAN SAMPLES: Find deceased reagents and extract organ samples for analysis.
  
• HALLUCINATIONS?: Side effects, trauma or something else?
  
• MORE IMPOSTERS.: More imposters in the Trial.
  
• NO PLAYER NAMES.: Player names are hidden. (Intensive and Psychosurgery)
  
• ENRAGED ENEMIES.: Enemies are on high alert! (Intensive and Psychosurgery)

[h3]Event Schedule:[/h3]

• Part 1 takes place from October 29th–November 12th
  
• Part 2 follows from November 12th–November 26th

[h3]New Time Limited Catalog: Geister[/h3]

• A brand new Catalog is available for the duration of the time limited event.
  
• Player can spend their acquired event tokens in the time limited catalog to unlock exclusive cosmetics.
  
• Earn Event Tokens and use them in the Event Catalog to unlock cosmetics. Once the event ends, the catalog will be removed, and any unspent tokens will be lost.

[h3]New MK-Challenge[/h3]
Eliminate the Past - Would you be able to destroy enough boxes in a given time to give yourself a chance to escape?
[h3]New Tasks[/h3]

• The Geister event introduces its own set of tasks.
  
• Tasks are divided into two parts, with each task rewarding Event Tokens, Stamps, and a random Geister item.
  
• Complete Part 1 of the Geister tasks to unlock Part 2.

[h3]Improved Jump Scares[/h3]

• Brace yourself, because the jump scares when your sanity isn't fully intact have been... enhanced.
  
• Exceptionally, these jump scare enhancements also happen even at full sanity in the Geister Program, thanks to the “Hallucinations?” variator.

[h3]New Sleep Room Minigame: Tennis[/h3]
Developed by Noakes in his free time, the new minigame is the first digital video game created by Murkoff and offered exclusively to Reagents.


[h3]Additions/Fixes/Balancing[/h3]

• Events/Weekly Program tasks can now only be completed at Standard, Intensive, and Psychosurgery difficulty levels.
  
• Stay Together (Variator): Damage is no longer applied to the last surviving player in the group, offering a chance for survival.
  
• X-Ray: Teammates' dead bodies now appear in X-Ray view.
  
• Variator: Updated the EXIT RUSH variator to “The exit timer begins once the final objective is completed.”
  
• Franco’s Tripwire: The tripwire laser is now slightly visible without Night Vision.
  
• Players can now use Ping and Quick Comms in the Sleep Room while solo/without a group.
  
• Time-Limited Catalogs now display a timer showing how much time remains before removal.
  
• Player icon preview is now supported while browsing the Catalogs.
  
• Fixed a bug that some Escalation tasks were not completing correctly for some users.
  
• Fixed several tasks that were not functioning properly.

[h3]The Outlast Trials Roadmap[/h3]
We wanted to share our Roadmap to showcase what the rest of 2024 has in store for The Outlast Trials and let you all know that Project Geister will once again come to the Sinyala facility next week with a new unexpected twist!



Following the recent cyber incident, our team has been focused on developing Season 2, the new features that will come with it, as well as some new aspects of the game coming next year.

We genuinely appreciate our community's patience and understanding during this challenging time. We’re working hard to deliver fresh content for everyone to enjoy throughout the holidays!

🚨 PS: Our team is working on a Hotfix for the Reagent Release issues people are experiencing! If you are wanting to release your Reagent please WAIT FOR OUR HOTFIX PATCH TO BE OUT BEFORE RELEASING YOUR REAGENT!
