Halloween is almost upon us, and even if you're too old for trick-or-treating, there's still one underappreciated tradition kids of all ages get to enjoy. I refer to the special time of year when indie devs — especially those whose works have spooky themes — get together to plan elaborate cameos in one another's games.

The latest left-field collaboration in this vein is between roguelike cult management simulator Cult Of The Lamb and multiplayer survival game slash dating sim Monster Prom 3: Monster Roadtrip:

Both games were originally released in 2022 and are no strangers to collaborations: the Monster Prom franchise has previously featured crossover content from Among Us and Helltaker, while making its own cameo in Max Gentlemen: Sexy Business; while Cult Of The Lamb mutually crossed over with Don't Starve Together for a recent collaboration. Truly there's something for just about everyone on that list, although clearly being massively horny and/or fighting for your life are popular themes in fantasy-flavoured indies.

We're currently still all hands on deck working on the next major update, and will have more info to share on this soon. We're crushing all those sneaky little bugs, polishing, and making sure this is going to be the best update ever whilst also working on fixing bugs in the current version! 🥰

Our pumpkin decorating contest is also still underway - thank you for all of your amazing entries so far! There's still time before it ends and ALOT of prizes to be won, so be sure to get any entries in before the end of the month! Find all the details for this here.

Lambert-O'-Lantern Contest 🎃
Be afraid, Cultists. Be VERY afraid. A mysterious, lengthy being lurks when the Blood Moon Festival comes around. In your mind, in your heart, in the deepest and darkest parts of your most unearthly desires... it waits. Hungry. Insatiable.

And it's up for grabs! We are holding another event, where you will need to decorate or carve a pumpkin, present it in all it's glory to Massive Monster, and win a prize - easy, right? It's totally not haunted. That's not why we're giving it away. Please, take it from us.



Contest Details🏆
You’ll need to decorate a pumpkin (it's up to you how you do so - decora, carving, or drawing on it... let your imagination run wild!) based on Cult of the Lamb characters or imagery.

Will you make a woolly Lamb pumpkin? How about a painted pumpkin to die for? Or something else entirely?

• 1 entry per person. If you make multiple posts, only your latest will be considered. You need to post either in our Reddit using the Lambert-O'-Lantern flair, or in our Discord in the Submit Pumpkin channel.
  
• Winners are selected by the Massive Monster team, specifically Art Director Jimp and the Community Manager (me!!).
  
• Submissions close 31 October 2023 12:00PM BST.
  
• You can upvote or react to content you like. Feel free to react/upvote as many entries as you like. Upvoted entries will be checked to verify upvotes/reactions are made by legitimate users
  
• If you do not have pumpkins near you, try a watermelon, a fake pumpkin, or something similar!
  
• You may use multiple pumpkins to create a scene and submit it as one entry.
  
• Digital pumpkins, tattoos, crocheting or other artforms are outside of the scope of this event.
  
• You are allowed to make a scene around the pumpkin, play with the lighting or add simple filters, however extensive photoshops/edits are not allowed.

Hey folks! A small update for you today - our programmers have been hard at work on squashing some pesky bugs!
