Happy New Year, devoted followers of the Lamb! And what better way to start the year than with some blessings in the form of an update to Cult of the Lamb. Here’s a taster of what’s coming your way:

Blessed be thy name.
Finger slip when you were naming your Cult? Or maybe it was funny at the time, but now not so much? Use your Book of Doctrines to rename your Cult anytime.



Blessed be thy stats.
Your Book of Doctrines will also now display your statistics - your Crusades, Kills, Followers, and their fates. A great way to keep track of the holy history of the Lamb!



Blessed be thy controller.
Some have a specific way to play - we hear you! Fully customise your controls for optimal heretic-slaying efficiency.



Blessed be thy cooking… and fishing.
A successful Cult means a lot of mouths to feed! You will now be able to enable Auto-Cooking and Auto-Fishing from the Accessibility menu in Settings. That’s right, every dish and fish will be an automatic success!





Blessed be thy blessings.
We get it, you’re a busy Lamb, you don’t have time to Bless every. Single. Follower. Well, fret no more - the Lamb can now Bless, Inspire, or Intimidate multiple Followers at once within an area. You get a Blessing, you get a Blessing!



These updates will help the Lamb navigate the changing Lands of the Old Faith in time for the release of our first FREE Major Content Update! That’s right, faithfully follow the Lamb into…

Coming early 2023



Featuring new challenges, enemies, and ways to keep non-believers in line. There’s plenty to look forward to so Praise the Lamb and join us for Relics of the Old Faith.

And to keep the blessings rolling, we’ll have a second - that’s right, second! - Major Content Update coming mid-year, which will focus on adding depth and detail to your Cult management gameplay.



Both of these free Major Content Updates appear on the Roadmap which you can find on the title screen.

Cult Of The Lamb will get a "free major content update" sometime in 2023, which will focus on adding "depth, difficulty, accessibility and quality of life". Specifically, it's adding a new heavy attack for every single weapon in the game.

After years of work, we released Cult of the Lamb in 2022. It has reached so many more people than we could have ever imagined and that's thanks to every single of one of you who have played and supported our little Lamb.

We appreciate your loyalty to the Lamb and to say thank you, we're ending this year with the first reveal of our FREE Major Content Update.



[h3]Holiday Specials[/h3]

Before we get to the new content, we wanted to share our Holiday Specials. To celebrate the season, Cult of the Lamb is currently on its BIGGEST SALE EVER at 25% off here on Steam!

We have also released two new Follower Forms, the Penguin and the Lion. These are available as Twitch Drops by watching participating streamers play the game until January 5.



And we have been nominated for Outstanding Visual Style in the Steam Awards. Vote! Vote! Vote!

It's the perfect time to dive into the Darkwood and find out what the little Lamb is all about with lots of new content around the corner.





Along with fixes and improvements, we have been working on adding more depth to the game. Based on your feedback, this major content update will focus on combat and dungeon gameplay.



The Lamb has some new moves! Press and hold the attack button for a HEAVY ATTACK! This new sword move can knock back many enemies in one SMASH when you're being swarmed.



Each weapon type has its own Heavy Attack. This Axe boomerang throw provides a ranged option. Charge the Axe throw to launch it in a straight line before it flies back to your new position, slicing enemies both ways.



The Dagger's Heavy Attack spawns pain from the sky. Multiple Daggers will drop in a line and each of them will knock enemies farther away.

Adding a new attack to each weapon will give you more options in every encounter. However, we're also working on many other new features that will add depth, difficulty, accessibility and quality of life. We've been listening to your feedback and are addressing the most requested improvements in this free Major Content Update.



Can you spot anything different about Barbatos? There will be many good reasons to rematch against your favorite foes.

We have another round of fixes scheduled for the very start of the New Year but after that, we will be working on this Major Content Update. It's A LOT so it will take more time in the cooking pot.
