1.0 Release Date Announcement!

From everyone at Dark Point Games, we are thrilled to announce that Achilles: Legends Untold will be leaving Early Access and launching in its full 1.0 version on November 2, 2023.

Continuing our focus on listening to the Achilles: Legends Untold community, we also implemented a number of changes and fixes to coincide with the 1.0 launch update.

Exciting news! In just two weeks, on September 28th, we will be unveiling the official release date for “Achilles: Legends Untold” version 1.0. We can't wait to share this exciting information with you! :)

[h3]Price Increase on September 25th[/h3]
In addition to the upcoming release, we also want to inform you about a modest price adjustment for Achilles: Legends Untold from USD 19,99 to USD 24,99. This change is in response to the substantial content and consistent updates delivered during the Early Access period. The new pricing will take effect on September 25th, and we hope it all makes more sense to you once you get to see everything that is new in the quest of Achilles..

You may wonder why we're making this change before the full-release? Honestly, it's because otherwise, it would disrupt the sales calendar for the rest of the year, as well as our plans. We'd like to leave the door open for the possibility of participating in some of the anticipated seasonal sales. Raising the price on the v1.0 launch day would complicate things, as price changes also entail a temporary price freeze.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to delivering a bigger and even more exciting and polished gaming experience with the release of ”Achilles: Legends Untold” version 1.0. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

The Myth Rewritten Update Out Now!

It is time. The eagerly awaited, one of the most significant updates for Achilles: Legends Untold is out!

We let you know about the story change a few times before, so we won’t delve into it too much - just go and play! You’re in for a whole new experience with the new voiceover, missions and the overall feel of the game.

Since the save files are going to be updated, your gathered xp will be converted into the skill points, so you can upgrade your character - or you can start anew with a fresh save and see how it goes. The mystery awaits to be unraveled! And the full release is coming very soon, too!

In case you’ve considered supporting us during the Early Access and get a hold of the game at a discounted price, this is a great moment to do so!

Achilles - a great warrior, a soldier, a survivor blessed with god-like prowess. Soon, he’s going to find out whether he really is invincible, like the legend says…

The human and beasts alike were tweaked in their behavior and strength, as well as weapons, chargers and throwables. With all that, will the enemies pose a challenge to you, or will they be but a small inconvenience on your path to become a hero?

The Update’s Return: The Last Reset of Save Files

[h3]Hello to all of you, great Warriors![/h3]

Changes are coming! The New Update 0.5.0 - The Myth Rewritten - is planned in about two weeks. That’s right! The huge changes relating to the story, voices, quests and many technical tweaks are almost here. Here’s the only downside to that: as we wrote in our last DevLog, the changes are so overwhelming that the current saves are unavoidably incompatible.

We strongly recommend trying out the new updated version of the game, since it’s a guaranteed new experience, and this is what fun is all about! It will be the first batch of the final content available, and the upcoming full release will add the rest. The progress you make will be fully compatible with it, so you’ll be able to continue your quest and unlock new achievements with no issue.

Upon launching the game, you’ll be met with a warning - if you want to proceed to the new content and get the best possible experience, you can select to continue and the game will erase the old save, taking you to the main menu.

There's no need to be upset at the prospect of losing your character progress though - we've got you covered. Once you start the new campaign and reach the end of Troy, your highest amount of gathered xp (since there are a few save slots available) will be converted into the skill points you can use on the skill tree.
If there’s any problem with that and you feel cheated, please contact us directly.

However, you might want to keep playing the current version of the game rather than go straight into the updated one. If that’s your preference, you can continue so by following the easy, 2-step tutorial:

Step 1.
Open Steam, go to the library page and find the game on the list. Right-click the title and select “Properties…”

Step 2.
Go into the “Betas” tab in the window that appears. Roll down the betas list here and select the “0.4.0” option.

You can now close the window and Steam will automatically roll the game back to the previous version. When you decide you’re ready to discover the new update, just come back here and select “None” from the betas list.

As a note - although the update isn't released yet, you can already follow the steps above and Steam won't update your game when the new version comes.

We’re positive this is the last instance of resetting the save files, which in itself is a standard procedure during Early Access. The gears are shifting and we’re super busy every day, working hard to complete our creation and deliver the unique experience of becoming the great Achilles.
