Exploration Expands: Discover the newly accessible ruins in Greece 2 and embark on 2 fresh side quests that promise to challenge your prowess and wit.
Formidable Foes: Prepare your weapons for battle against new enemies — the fiery wrath of Fire Skeletons and Fire Heretics awaits you.

Balanced Arsenal: Experience refined gameplay with the latest balance adjustments to darts and petards, ensuring a fair and competitive edge in every encounter.

We've also made several fixes to improve stability and gameplay:

Story-tied NPCs are now immortal to prevent unintended game disruptions.
Updated defense values for Two-Handed Swords.
Resolved issues with boss rewards.
Enhanced co-op rewards, offering more currency gains to enhance your shared adventures.
Fixes across collision detection, AI navigation, and graphics.
Camera and guide behavior corrections to ensure smoother gameplay.
Plus, many more minor adjustments to continuously refine your experience.

We couldn't wait to share what we've done, so we're showing off some of it today. Update 1.3 is packed with epic content, from new enemies to explore, and we're sure you'll love it. Grab your sandals, because it's going to be a wild ride!

New Enemies: Prepare to face formidable new foes that will require you to master your combat skills and strategize in new ways. A FIERY opponents will for sure heat up the combat.

Educational Initiatives: Our commitment to the game development community extends beyond conferences; we continuously offer lectures and workshops on game development at Nicolaus Copernicus University, sharing our knowledge and fostering the next generation of game developers.

Achilles is at PAX East 2024 - The Amulet Update now available!

We're excited to announce that "Achilles: Legends Untold" is at the PAX East Expo! Come talk to us and play our game, we'll be waiting for you at Booth #14049! You can find a map at the end of this post.

On that occasion, we've got two surprises for you. First off, the game is now on a -40% limited time discount, so now's the perfect time to buy it if you hadn't yet.

Secondly, we've released the new major Update today! The isometric, stamina-based aRPG combat of "Achilles: Legends Untold" just got even more interesting as the Version 1.2 of the game introduced a powerful new feature - Amulets.

These mystical items are designed to deepen your gameplay experience, offering a variety of enhancements to aid you on your epic quest through Ancient Greece. We believe they will add a new layer of strategy and customization to "Achilles: Legends Untold," allowing you to tailor your hero to your playstyle even further.

To give you a better understanding of this update, we've also released a video explaining amulets the new mechanics.

Whether you're diving into the game for the first time or returning for another playthrough, there's never been a better time to explore the ancient world we've crafted.

[h2]Amulet Mechanics[/h2]

From the very beginning of your journey, amulets are accessible and can be discovered in treasure chests and dungeons scattered throughout the game's world. Each amulet offers unique buffs and occasionally trade-offs, allowing for strategic customization based on your combat needs or specific encounters.

In the New Game Plus (NG+) and beyond, amulets evolve, offering enhanced abilities and new possibilities. These upgraded versions can also be found in the game, ensuring that even veterans have fresh treasures to discover.

To accommodate these new items, your equipment will now feature one dedicated slot for amulets, ensuring they're easily accessible and integral to your adventure.

[h2]The Amulets[/h2]

The update introduces 7 amulets, each with three versions to unlock as you progress through NG+ and NG++. Here's a sneak peek into their capabilities:

Do you find yourself running low on HP more often than you'd like?
Use the Amulet, which increases your vitality stat at the cost of dealing a bit less damage. This difference increases on the 2nd and 3rd item level. Take a hit after hit and still stay strong on the battlefield!
Perhaps you're more of a risk taker?
Equip the Amulet, which increases damage dealt by 25%, but also decreases your defense by 25%. On the 2nd and 3rd item level, you can deal even more damage, but your vulnerabilty will increase just as much. Become a true glass cannon of a warrior!
Want those strong attacks to be even heavier?
We've got you covered! Just use the Amulet, which increases your strong attack damage at the expense of its speed. By the 2nd and 3rd item levels these get even slower, but significantly stronger. You might move like a Cyclops, but you'll hit hard like a Titan!
