Wanted Raccoon: latest updates and patches

Hello friends!🙂
We are happy to introduce you our patch with new languages and other updates!

1. Fixed the issue with the respawn
2. Fixed the non-working dialogues
3. Added Xbox controller support
4. Fixed flying trees
5. Improved some locations
6. Fixed the bug with the crane in the cargo delivery mission
7.Fixed the disabling physics on the tail after respawning
8. Names of characters are now highlighted in dialogues with different colors
9. Old translations have been improved and new languages added: Portuguese, French and Spanish!

Craft, trading and a new saving system will be added a bit later, as we are currently working on fixing bugs and new technical improvements of our Wanted Raccoon (:

BIG Updates in WANTED RACCOON



Full list of updates:

1. Sounds for different game situations were added (and there will be more in the next updates);
2. Inverse kinematics for all characters was configured, i.e. now they do not sink into the ground;
3. Ragdolls on all characters were configured, now they fall down more realistically;
4. English translation of the game was improved;
5. The option of selection of other languages was added to the game menu: Russian, Chinese, Ukrainian. And in the near future we will add German, Portuguese, Italian, etc .;
6. The plot has become freer; there are no unnecessary cut scenes;
7. Problems with control settings were fixed;
8. Problem with the area of cargo delivery to the crane was fixed;
9. New location was added at the entrance to the city – Raccoon City Park;
10. Now you can destroy more objects in the boss's house (for ex., drop a laptop, phone, chandeliers, and etc.);
11. The reliability of saving was improved;
12. The bug with boxes that blocked the cargo container with the Raccoon-trader was fixed;
13. The interval of patrols in the kennel in the mission of rescuing the old raccoon was increased;
14. Overturned boards, barrels, boxes and etc. now return to their places after the player’s respawn;
15. Skateboard control was improved;
16. Minor bugs and shortcomings were fixed;
17. Crafting and trading were improved, more new improvements are coming in the next updates!

We haven’t been here with the news for a long time because we were working on a number of new interesting updates (:
A new location (Raccoon City Park) has been added to Wanted Raccoon, there are more sounds in it and the plot is freer now.
Also we understood that there’s not enough to have only the English language in the game, and immediately after the release into Early Access we fell into the work with translations. Today in addition to English the game already has a choice of Russian, Chinese and Ukrainian languages. And further - onwards and upwards) We’ll add German, Italian, Portuguese and other languages.

Construction of a shelter at the secret raccoon's base

Now you can build your own base in the game, but this is only the beginning of a long journey - in the near future we will add the ability to create other useful items, for example, a crafting table, a water tank, boxes for storing items and food, etc. And also the base can be decorated.

First impressions about the release, further plans

Greetings to everyone who knows us, and who has not yet heard about us. We are a small studio of indie-developers "MAD SPROUTS", and for almost 3 years, we have been working on our first project - a video game, a raccoon simulator "Wanted raccoon". Finally, this year in March, we went into Early Access on Steam. In this article, we would like to talk about our work after the release, our impressions over the past 2 weeks, and also share the plans for the upcoming months.



We are so much thankful to our community - they are our assistants, our faithful friends! We were getting feedback in our groups in social networks over all these 3 years, trying to listen to every review, every comment, and have always tried to do what people could happily spend their time doing.

What is the first day of the release? Is it exciting, worrying? No, these are not proper words. We were having a voice chat on Telegram with the team, hysterically joking and trying to pull ourselves together to finally press the long-awaited "Release" button (we even shot a video to remember this moment). The first streams on Twitch started in a couple of hours after the release, and the whole week passed in one breath - we were monitoring all the websites, watching video reviews, streams, reading comments - all for the sake of mastering all the bugs. Most of the mistakes have already been solved, there are some patches ahead, where we are carrying out the final clean-up.



Since this is our first project, creating the storyline was not an easy task. We needed to think over all possible actions of the players for the plot and take into account all the cases where some of the actions are skipped or some task is completed earlier. We have already fixed most of the weaknesses in the story. For example, some doors would not open, boxes would disappear if the player stunned some enemy ahead of time. These errors should not show up again.

The saving function combined with the plot created additional errors in the game, that's why we`ve made a new saving system that allows us to develop the game, increase the game world, add new characters, locations, and new game mechanics without losing progress while playing the game.
The localization system will be fixed during April. This will allow us to add the translation into many languages, such as: Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese.



Also, we will add the ability to restart the mission this month, i.e. if an error appears somewhere, the player will not need to start the game over, one can simply restart the active mission and continue the game from the last checkpoint.

Despite the bugs in the game, we receive pleasant letters and proposals for cooperation from various influencers, both from starting streamers/bloggers and from large publications, which greatly motivates us to make the game better!

1. New location;
2. Localization of the game into a number of languages;

BIG BUGs FIXes #2 in WANTED RACCOON

Friends, in the last patch we tried to fix many problems that you mentioned in your feedbacks, letters and bug reports. So here is the list of new bug fixes that, thanks to you, significantly improved the gameplay process in Wanted Raccoon. Please install the update and launch the game!



1. Added a new mission: Rescuing Old Joe;
2. Added resource warehouse interface;
3. The mission with building a wind generator works correctly now;
4. Buildings that you built are saved now;
5. The state and position of the doors can also be saved;
6. The problem with the rope during deliveries is solved;
7. More zones for construction were added;
8. The problem with the doors that couldn’t be opened is solved;
9. Robbery planning room was added;
10. Colliders were added to scene objects;
11. Reliability of the saving was improved;
12. Additional respawn points were added;
13. The reference to MGS at bus stops were removed;
14. The problem when Jack the Raccoon could not reach the dump after the construction site is also solved;
15. And finally we made lots of minor bug fixes from bug reports.

The next update will content a new location, new sounds, a full base building. We will also continue to fix all the bugs and problems you report about.
