Hey folks! We’re really pleased with the reception the Cassette Beasts demo has had. Thank you all so much for sharing your feedback, wishlisting, and telling your friends about the game!
We’ve published a patch for the demo today. Version 1.0.1 adds a couple of frequently-requested features, and fixes a few issues that have popped up.
[h2]Improvements[/h2]
- You can now sprint by pressing B (on a controller) or Shift (on a keyboard). (Note that there is already a much faster dash ability that can be unlocked in the full game.)
- You can now purchase tapes from Clémence before the end of the demo.
[h2]Fixes[/h2]
- Fixed Sirenade not appearing as ‘seen’ in the bestiary until Kayleigh has been unlocked as a partner.
- Fixed a UI layout issue in the party menu on ultrawide resolutions.
- Fixed the “chance to use a random move” sticker attribute trying to use passive stickers.
- Fixed a bug that allowed the record and transform orders to be cancelled during the recording tutorial.
- Fixed large cracked rocks sometimes catapulting the player into the air when broken.
- Fixed a couple of ways the player could get trapped in a drowning loop: at the cracked path, and on the lamp buoy at the entrance to Harbourtown.
- Fixed a rare bug that could cause cutscenes to occur when they’re not meant to, causing glitched dialogue and invisible NPCs.
- Fixed the game locking up if you exit the credits while returning from the licences screen.
- Removed an unnecessary message dialog that slowed down battles a tiny bit when you use Call For Help.
- Various localisation improvements.
