1.3.0.0 - UI Overhaul first pass + bug fixes

Hey everyone!
Following the last update adding a new area the canyon aswell as the revamp of the desert (You can read more here)
Today’s update kicks off the first pass of our complete UI overhaul. A lot has changed, and we’re excited to test it out with you!

UI Overhaul – First Pass[/h2]



Reworked item icon shapes for better clarity.

Updated rarity visuals – easier to spot what's valuable!

Inventory UI now displays:

Character stats

Item stats

Active buffs


Workbench UI improved with clearer craft info.



Crafting UI now shows what items do and their stats more clearly.


Furnace UI and Storage UI updated for a smoother experience.



Added new sorting options across the board.

⚠️ Some UI is still using the old system (like item transfer, lore reader, quest log, etc.). These will be updated in a future patch – this version is all about testing and feedback!

Adjusted weapon durability across the board.

Rebalanced rarity of select items.

Tweaked Tetrachnide loot drops for better balance.

[h2]Fixes & Improvements[/h2]

Fixed typos and updated several item descriptions.

Fixed warp bug in Garoo Cave Dungeon.

Tools now correctly display rarity info.

[h2]Workbench Adjustments[/h2]

Removed Semi-Auto Shotgun from Tier 1 Weapon Bench.

Added Semi-Auto Rifle to Tier 1 Weapon Bench.

Added new Crossbow SFX for shooting and reloading!

We’re back with a massive content update for Wild Planet! Early Access 1.2.0.0 brings a huge overhaul to the Desert Biome, new areas to discover, and a host of improvements to the survival experience. Let’s dive into what’s new!

[h2]New Content & Biome Overhaul[/h2]

[h3]Canyon Biome (New!)[/h3]
We’ve added a brand-new Canyon Biome, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. This rugged landscape is located on the edge of the Field Biome and serves as a transition zone for future expansions.


[h3]Desert Biome Revamp[/h3]
  • The Desert Biome has been completely redone from the ground up
  • New Oasis Area A lush reprieve in the arid wasteland, full of valuable resources.
  • New Desert Trees More variety in the environment for better immersion.
  • New Plasma Field Area A new area to farm plasma with your drills


[h2]Dungeon Overhaul[/h2]
[h3]Crashed Ship Dungeon (Forest)[/h3] A full remake with improved level design, and new loot!



[h2]Food & Resources[/h2]
  • New Food Recipes added to the Kitchenette, offering more buff options.
  • Mushrooms now spawn in caves, expanding food foraging options.
  • New Models: Highland Berries & Aloe for better visual distinction.
  • Cactus now drops Desert Berries and Cactus Flesh, allowing for new food recipes :)


Creatures & Combat[h2]

  • New Creature: Desert Metalon – A fierce new enemy found in the desert biome.
  • Reduced the number of Blue Mecha in the field to two, rebalancing enemy encounters.
  • Adjusted Blue Mecha Spawn Locations for a more varied experience.
  • Removed Young Metalons from the spawn area to improve early-game difficulty.


[h2]Gameplay & System Changes[/h2]
  • New Water System with a more dynamic visual approach.
  • Fix: Mining helmet flashlight now properly activates.
  • Changes to Some Recipes for better balance and crafting progression.

While this update brings a ton of new content, we’re also actively working on even bigger additions coming soon!

🔹 Building System Update with improved functionality and customization.

Looking Ahead


Development is progressing smoothly! The next patch will focus on finalizing three new dungeons/caves in the forest and desert biomes. This update will also introduce and fix various creatures, alongside optimizations for game progression and overall performance.

Fixes & Improvements

Fixed: The long-standing issue where non-host players' UI would switch to another storage in co-op has finally been resolved after 2-3 weeks of research. This fix greatly enhances the co-op experience! 🎉
Fixed: Various terrain seams to improve world continuity.
Fixed: Navigation issues with Recycler area stairs.
Fixed: Typos for Workbench craft and Plasma Drill.
Fixed: Wrong icon for Beard 3 in the player creator menu.

Gameplay & Optimizations

Added: Extra grounding checks for Monowheel and Rhino Mount to ensure better terrain stability.
Changed: Adjusted tooltip appearance timing for antennas and instance portals to improve readability and usability.
Changed: Terrain streaming optimizations to improve loading/unloading performance, ensuring smoother gameplay and better resource management.
