Around an hour of new gameplay, missions and story.

You can request access on the page below:
Thief Simulator 2: Back to Business

Also, stay tuned for the full release, as the game is about 85% finished. Story mode is complete, I'm currently adding loot to houses & some nice cars in garages and at the end, Xbox controller support.

You are no longer alone (if you want!)

Hello everyone,
one of the newest features I added is the ability to call an associate and invite them to your stealing fun.

Once they arrive, you can ask them to do one of the following things. These actions use up the action points, and those are limited per session (you can upgrade your associate to have more points).

  • Pick locks - unlocks any lock you can unlock instantly (no minigame).
  • Carry heavy items to car - your associate picks up any heavy item and carries it to your car.
  • Mark tenants - marks all tenants on the current possession, and learns their habits.
  • Call off pursuit - clears one star of police pursuit.

Stealing with your associate is not required to finish the game, but it's something you can use after a certain point in the story.

Heist Progress Update

Hello everyone, time for an update about the main new feature of Thief Simulator 2 - heists.

Heists are basically high profile robberies - instead of stealing from your neighbour's garden, you actually break into a heavily guarded location, but as expected, the reward is also much bigger.

The first heist will be set in a warehouse, containing all sorts of equipment - electronics, tools, even a new drone for you to use.

To prepare for a heist, you must aquire needed skills and tools, and also steal documents regarding the location. Not all documents are required to start the robbery, but for example, it would be better to find a document containing guard's routines, than not. Trust me.

There will be several drones to steal - each drone has unique upgrades.

Game is not dead

Hello everyone,
just wanted to say the radio silence is over, and I will be back to posting regular updates on the game.
The reason it was so quiet is because I was busy working on the map and placement of NPCs, which is a slow and tiresome process, so there was really nothing to show.
However that's done now, and I can finally shed some light on what's going on with the game. ːsteamhappyː

Story
Beginning of the game - your house is raided by mob assasins

So, what will the story be?
I can't say everything about it, but a short version would be this:

In your past, you stole money from a mob, then moved to the middle of nowhere and expected a happy life. They found you, however. And they want you to pay the price, which is the ultimate doom.
You have to get out of there and figure out a way to deal with the mob. What can you do to stop them? Well, the first thing you think of, is to contact the friend who warned you of the night raid. Maybe he can help you.

Minor stuff

  • Special skill points
These points are earned by stealing special items, which grant you 1 point per item. These points unlock extraordinary skills.
Special skills make your thief life much easier, so it's worth spending extra time finding the special items

  • Non-house locations to rob
There will not only be houses in the neighbourhoods, but also locations such as a scrapyard, or the courier's headquarters with a lot of boxes to steal.

  • HellNeighbour missions
Missions will have some variety. There will be not only 'Steal / Destroy' type missions, but also 'Plant the evidence', 'Assault', 'Photograph'. Photograph is pretty much some detective work - you gotta snap a close photo of either a room, a house, or even a person. Assault is what it pretty much says - slam someone's head in with a baton. Sounds fun and engaging.
    Plant the evidence

  • Phone usage
You will be able to use your phone to take photos, store parcel locker codes found in electronics / houses, and to quick buy a lockpick, if you ever run out of them during burglary.

For now that's it. As for when the game releases, I don't know. There is still a lot to do, I'm in the process of adding missions and I don't want them to be boring or repetitive. Will keep everyone posted about the progress ːsteamthumbsupː
