2.0.2 released, containing the following bug fixes and improvements:

- Fixed an issue where you couldn't place start block in Track Builder.

- Fixed a bug where Tractor Golden Stripe skin didn't load well
- Fixed a bug where track sides didn't look correctly
- Allowed for zooming out further in Track Builder
- Fixed a bug where vehicles respawned while mid air
- Fixed a bug where vehicles respawned while on ramps
- Fixed a bug where certain mountains had no collision
- Added new Steam achievement (publishin a custom track)
- Added more precise rotation steps to objects (hold [ctrl] for even more precise steps)

It’s been a while in the making, but it’s finally here! The Stream Racer Track Builder is now available in early access!

Build your own tracks, the way you like to. Get full control over your tracks, bending your roads into a precision of 0.25 degrees (for those very thorough builders, I see you). After you’ve finished constructing your roads, it’s time to construct your objects! Boost pads, tire stacks and complete stands, place the however you like.

After your complete map is done, it’s time to put it to the test. Through our automated testing system, the game will determine if your track meets our minimum track requirements. This is mostly just checking if your track isn’t too short.

Passed the test? Time to publish! After publishing your track, it will be available for EVERYONE to enjoy!

Some quick notes / a heads-up:

• The Track Builder will be a per-season based paid feature. The price at the start of a season will be 350 nitro, but will decrease in price daily. You basically pay for the amount of days left in the season.
  
• You can purchase the nitro directly via Steam (new!) or like you could before via https://app.streamracer.com (there is no difference). The Track Builder Season Pass is only available via Steam (for now).
  
• This is EARLY ACCESS. So EXPECT bugs. This has been the largest single project I’ve ever created. I already have a list of 30+ things I want to add or improve, but it had to be launched at some point. The Track Builder will continue to improve via updates over time. These improvements are included in the Track Builder Season Pass and will come via Steam (like regular game updates).
  
• An improved “new game” screen will be created very soon. I understand with the large amount of new tracks that will come, it will be very hard to select the track you want in the current screen. I was simply out of time. New screen that allows you to select track length, search by name / author, etc., very soon.
  
• You will be reminded in the game as well, but I just want to be very clear here. Abuse of custom tracks will result in a direct game ban. This includes, but is not limited to, the drawing of hate symbols or any other inappropriate drawings. Stream Racer is rated E, which means all content may be suitable for persons ages 6 and older. Bans are permanent, and you will not be refunded for your purchase.

The long awaited Track Builder is released December 16th and to build up to this event we've changed some of the rules in Stream Racer. For a limited time you can boost up to 10 times per race, but be careful, every boost has a chance to blow yourself up!

Welcome to patch 1.8.0. Last patch we removed car-on-car collision to see its effect on the game. While there's a large group of users that like this change, there's also a substantial group of player that's don't. That's why we're introducing something new in the patch, game modes! The initial game modes are Time Trial and Arcade. Time Trial are about speed! No car collision, maximum racing! max players for this game mode is 200! Arcade is all about fun! Full car-on-car collision, maximum chaos! max players are 75!

We've also patched / tweaked some others things:

- Introduced game modes, time trial and arcade.
- Game mode is displayed in pre-game lobby.
- Increased leaderboard update interval, this fixes some close finish issues that happened.
- Random time is no longer always night. It cannot always be night.
- Vehicle labels (player names) are now hidden when the vehicle is far away from the camera.
- Fixed a camera stutter issue when following a car manually.
- Hide labels when in prop-camera mode.
- Fixed Racecar Retro Game skin.

This is a forced patch, meaning you have to update in order to start a race (server only works with version 1.8.0 🙂)

Hey all,

A quick small patch here, fixing some small things. This patch contains:

• Leaderboard now properly shows finishers again.
  
• Pressing 1 to 9 will now (again) switch to cars that haven't finished yet.
  
• Fixed respawning problem where cars got stuck on obstacles.
  
• Added 0 key to go to the 10th place car
  
• Added support for numpad 1-9 keys
  
• Added a small new billboard.
  

This is a non-forced patch, meaning you don't have to update in order to start a race (server works with both 1.7.0 and 1.7.1. But updating is recommended to give a better racing experience! :)
