  • Tier 3! In this new Tier you will learn the importance of situational awarness.

New look:
  • Updated certain textures as part of a long term plan to refresh the quality of the assets
  • Tier 3 double arm dummy. It's intense, and will keep you on your feet.
  • New scroll level layout, to accomodate for Tier 3.

Updates and fixes:
  • Grading board now has clearer info on what percentage gives you what extra score.
  • Scoring overall has changed a lot to work better across multiple platforms. Now the scoring system is identical and calculated the same for all devices.
  • Lowest dummy arm now includes a short blade arm.
  • Reset accuracy rings at the end of the level.

  • New training tool.

Thank you to the current players who have been providing me feedback! This game wouldn't be the same without your help.

WIP: Tier 3 - Situational awareness

Students!

After working on the port to Steam and making sure everything was stable on the current platforms, I have resumed work on a new tier that brings the intensity up for those who have already mastered tier 1 and 2.

Tier 1 was all about understanding the mechanics of the dummy, as well as your own body. How to move relative to the dummy, to punch and block.

Tier 2 is to learn how to fight against a moving opponent, to realise the importance of pivoting your body left and right whilst keeping an eye on incoming attacks to keep yourself balanced at all times.

Tier 3 will be to give a base of understanding of fighting multiple opponents. You will need to be fast, though your timing and accuracy will be most important. This tier will show you the importance of being aware of your surroundings.

Train hard and stay focused.

Update 0.34 - New game mode: Focus.

Really exited about this update! Hope you all enjoy it too.

What's new:
  • Focus Mode! In this mode you can build your own level.
  • Focus Mode is accessible through the scroll menu item.

New look:
  • Menu now has 4 tabs: Train (previously "Menu"), Focus, Study and Extra. In hopes that these tabs add claririty to what each section is for during your martial arts journey.
  • Updated the size of the arm braces slightly to match more average arm sizes.
  • Removed "punch plank to start" sign when in study mode to avoid confusion.
  • Increased quality of certain textures! More to come.

Updates and fixes:
  • Updated the grab mechanic further as to remove instances when it would break for some students.
  • Updated the point mechanic to select on the scroll: you no longer need to pull the triggers and create a pointing motion. Simply touch the boxes with your index finger however you like!
  • Fixed issue when you would untick the Padwork Extra but it would remain on the main board as selected.

What's next:
  • Working on a new environment as the next update, outdoors! Then after that I hope to make more progress on Tier 3 release.
  • More detailed and accurate feedback on punches/blocks timing and accuracy.

Thank you to the current players who have been providing me feedback! This game wouldn't be the same without your help.

There will be more udpates to this game mode as I get feedback and requirements for customisations. My goal here is to allow you to focus on what you want to train on when you want to train. Giving you more control on your road to mastering kung-fu.

WIP: Build your own level with Focus mode!

Fellow Students!

I've been hard at work lately with the new game mode. Initially I was making Tier 3 which includes new types of punches. Though I've put that on hold for now as I push this new mode forward.

The mode called Focus will let you work on your selected skills only, either punching, block, dodging or your own mix!

You will also get to choose how many arms the dummy has (up to 3) and whether the dummy moves or not.

Focus Mode let's you create your own level with the following options:
  • Only punching, blocking, dodging, or your own mix
  • How many arms are on the dummy (up to 3)
  • If the dummy moves

Over time I will refine this system and add more options, such as dummy and dummy arm speed, as well as other types of punches and movements as they are added to the main levels.

Creating your own levels and training programs will help you work on what you want to, to target any weakness and then go back into the full training mode to get those high scores.

Stay tuned for the release soon!
