Update 0.50 - Fight Mode

Happy New Year! It's been a tough 2020 for everyone and I hope that I can help in some way to make 2021 better. Starting with a big update with a new game mode.

I've really excited about this one, I've worked on it for a while. I've always wanted to make the dummy more active. In this new mode, Fight, you are against a similar dummy to Train mode but now it follows you, moves forwards, backwards, rotates full 360 and generally is more aggressive.

In order to get scores you still need to strike the pads, block the poles and dodge the blades as in Train, but you'll also need to hit the pads that appear on the body of the dummy. These pads give you the highest points, and they can appear on any side of the dummy. So you will need to move around it, left and right, to get the pads when they appear.

This mode is really to start bringing footwork to the experience. In Train we focus mainly on the upper body, now I want you to focus on your lower body too.
What's new:
• New Fight mode! In this mode you fight against a more active/reactive dummy. Currently this mode has 1 Tier (5 Levels). Once I've refined this mode enough I will add Tier 2, and then 3. Tier 1 Fight is only available once you have completed Tier 1 Train.
 • Extended feedback after a Train mode level based on how you did. When completing a level, you will find a new board to your right with the detailed feedback.
New look:
• Menu scroll has now be redesigned to include Fight mode.
 • Kung Fu mode is now called Train mode, to avoid confusion and make sense of the full journey. It now goes: Train, Fight, Focus, Study.
 • Menu tabs have also been redesigned to be more practical when switching between sections.
 • Study mode dummy and figurine are now to your right, and the menu scroll is back in the middle.
 • Fight mode has it's own soundtrack! You can still disable music in the Extras setting, and play your own music externally while you train.
Updates and fixes:
• Train global leaderboard now has the top 15 players (previously top 10).
 • In Fight mode score points are displayed on impact. This will allow you to briefly see the scores you are getting with each strike/block. If this feature gets a good response I can add it to Train mode too.
 • Fight mode also has new grades, one for amount of body pad hits and the other for amount of lateral movement. Moving around the dummy is essential to this new mode.
 • Correct punch plank is now displayed when returning to menu after Focus.
What's next:
• Further refinement of Fight mode. Then onto including Fight mode Tier 2.
 • Fight mode Tier 2 to have new dummy arms (surprise!).
 • Adding a global leaderboard to Fight mode (once scoring has been refined).
 • New environment.
 • New soundtracks.

Thanks for the all support! Let's stay focused and train hard in 2021 together!

Update 0.43 - Global Leaderboard

It's time to connect a bit more between ourselves, and earn your place on the board!

What's new:
 • There's now a global leaderboard in the game! So you can see how everyone else is getting on. And get a bit competitive maybe. Let's see!
 • Score is added automatically and current logged in username is used.

This is the first version of the board. Let me know any feedback or suggestions. It will most likely change over time as I figure things out!

Update 0.42 - Wing Chun Dummy!

I've wanted to do this for a while, a virtual Wing Chun dummy. Just for you!

What's new:
 • Study menu now includes a Wing Chun dummy!
 • Import your own study pages to revise shapes without removing your headset.

New look:
 • Rearranged menu area, with environment spheres on the left and menu scroll on the right.
 • Punch plank to start is now centre!

Updates and fixes:
 • Fixed grade percentage text overlap when you get 100%
 • Continued improvements on certain textures

Thank you to the current players who have been providing me feedback! This game wouldn't be the same without your help.

Update 0.40 - Tier 3

What's new:
 • New dummy arm! The new punch pad is now the 4th dummy arm, you can pummel away at it as long as you can!
 • Tier 3! In this new Tier you will learn the importance of situational awarness.
 • New scoring system. There have been some big changes on how scores are calculated, so it's advised to reset the game from the Extras menu to make sure it all works well for you.

New look:
 • Updated certain textures as part of a long term plan to refresh the quality of the assets
 • Tier 3 double arm dummy. It's intense, and will keep you on your feet.
 • New scroll level layout, to accomodate for Tier 3.

Updates and fixes:
 • Grading board now has clearer info on what percentage gives you what extra score.
 • Scoring overall has changed a lot to work better across multiple platforms. Now the scoring system is identical and calculated the same for all devices.
 • Lowest dummy arm now includes a short blade arm.
 • Reset accuracy rings at the end of the level.
 • Fixed issue where you could no longer grab an environment sphere after having grabbed it once.

What's next:
 • New environment.
 • New training tool.

Thank you to the current players who have been providing me feedback! This game wouldn't be the same without your help.
