Enhanced & Improved Dojos

Dear Students,

I hope you've been enjoying unlocking the new bracers that were recently added to the game. After working on optimisation these past few months, I am finally able to improve the visual quality of models, lighting and textures without reducing performance.

So in this months update I've redone the entire Torii Dojo from scratch: it's much more interesting now and performs very well! I've also reworked the lighting on the other Dojos: added fire and better lighting in some, glow and shadows in others.

👊Overall the Dojos now feel much better and I hope you enjoy training in them.



[h2]UPDATES[/h2]
  • 🎨Complete redesign of Torii Dojo environment. Much brighter, more interesting and highly optimised!
  • 💡New lighting / textures of Cave Dojo and Hall Dojo.
  • 🌟Improved fidelity of reflective surfaces on bracers, so they feel even better in the various Dojos.
  • 🛑New level end for when failing from too many mistakes, so that it's clearer now when this has happened.
  • 🔪The lower blades on the dummy now have a shorter range, this is to allow for cleaner fluidity between movements.
  • 📈Further deep optimisation for both Q1 and Q2 to allow for a much more stable framerate when playing in the highest levels at speed.
  • 🔊Added volume control for music (saves between sessions).
  • 📄Added reminder during tutorial that it's possible to skip it.


[h2]FIXES[/h2]
  • 🐛Fixed tutorial board remaining when starting a level after finishing tutorial in some instances.
  • 🐛Fixed multiplier icons not showing when starting the game.
  • 🐛Fixed "Retry" panel showing level numbers in Focus mode (there are no levels in Focus).
  • 🐛Fixed total score not displayed in some instances in Focus mode.
  • 🐛Fixed issue where red screen fade would remain on screen if got hit exactly when level ends.
  • 🐛Fixed issue where if your score was too big a number it would be displayed in scientific notation (Yes, some of you are THAT good).

Bracer Matching Gloves

Dear Students,

After completing the bracers I realised they looked too good and needed matching gloves. So I've added gloves for each bracer style! 🔥



Now that the bracers and gloves are complete I have bigger surprises dropping in the months to come so stay tuned!

This year has seen some big improvements in both visuals and performance, which has been really important for me. 🔥
As a practical martial arts student, I designed the game with practicality in mind before thinking about the visuals too much. Though I couldn't be happier to have reach the point in the games life that I can spend so much time making the visuals much more interesting for everyone. All thanks to all of you and your support! 🙏❤

Patch - 0.92.11-13

Apologies for the various small glitches from last weekends update. I switched quite a lot of systems to make things smoother overall, but still ended up breaking some small things along the way. I've issues various patches since then to bring eveything back to normal!
Thanks for the support.

- Fixed tutorial not starting properly when starting the game for the first time.
- Fixed issues with collisions not registering sometimes on the NEXT panel at the end of a level.
- Fixed issues with collisions not registering when using the PADWORK modifier.
- Fixed some translation issues in various areas.

Monthly Unlockable Bracers - Part 3

Dear Students,

I've added another set of bracers to the game for you to unlock at a higher level of training. If you have already been awarded the previous bracers, you can work towards these now. Train hard!

I've wanted to make new bracers for Crazy Kung Fu for a while, and now that we have a variety of them to play with in game I couldn't be happier. It's really great to be able to play and train with some neat looking bracers, as well of course being able to show off your level by simply showing the style of bracer you are wearing 😎

  • New bracers: Improviser & Legend
  • Various texture/model improvements.
  • Updated entire text display system so it's easier to read but also performs better overall.
  • Update leaderboard panels and display, so the banner color works better with the text, and your name/score is a different color so you can quickly see where you are.

Monthly Unlockable Bracers - Part 2

Dear Students,

The next two bracers are now ready for you to unlock in game. If you have already reached the goals you'll be granted them the next time you play. Otherwise, train hard and you'll be rewarded well!

If you go to the Dojo tab and select a bracer that you have not unlocked yet, you'll see what you need to do to unlock it. Found out if you are Nomad or Royal.

I hope that you enjoy these rewards and customisations! There is more included in this update as well, check out the list for the breakdown:

  • New bracers: Nomad & Royal
  • Your modifiers will now automatically be saved between sessions.
  • [ NATIVE QUEST ONLY ] Fixed issue with Dojo selection orbs not appearing the first time after switching back from passthrough.
  • Fixed issue with Fight Mode leaderboard score not displaying the right number if player is not in the top 15.
  • Updated how errors are counted in Fight Mode so that "Too many mistakes" doesn't appear as often.
  • Improved models and water in the waterfall cave Dojo.
  • Updated texture quality/compression of most materials in game. Check out the title in the intro!
  • Optimized system, reducing required storage by about 25%.
  • Overall cleanup for performance boost.
