This Week In RuneScape: Frank's Free Deaths

Christmas has arrived in Gielinor with festive decorations, an atmosphere of general good cheer, and of course, loads of prezzies! Perhaps the biggest gift this season is for PvMers, as today sees the launch of Frank’s Free Deaths. For the next four weeks you can boss without fear, because we’re taking away death costs for selected adversaries! Read on to find out how, and get all the updates on Christmas events, Merch Store gift ideas and more.

Are you a nervous PvMer? Would some describe you as risk averse? Perhaps even actively death avoidant? Well today’s your lucky day. It’s the launch of Frank’s Free Deaths!

Yes, starting at today's update, we’re giving you four weeks of free deaths across various bosses, so you can pulverise the bad guys with zero costs should you meet a sticky end. It’s a great opportunity to learn the habits of bosses you've never tackled before, removing the stress for combat beginners while also giving you more experienced PvMers the chance to sharpen your skills. We’ll also get loads of useful data from this event to inform future decisions: we want to reassess death costs in general, so we’ll be listening closely to your feedback and looking at who is playing and how.

So how does it work? Well, Frank is using his connection with his old pal Death to focus on a different set of bosses each week. Oh, and he's definitely not profiting from this at all. Really. Don't worry about it.

This week's featured bosses (starting from today's update and running until midnight 12th/13th December):

Visit Frank at War's Retreat or Death's Office and get to thrashing those baddies! Don’t forget to send us your feedback too!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in RuneScape – right down to the bosses getting a festive new look! You’ll also notice the decorations around Gielinor, giving our magical world that extra special Noël glow. Ahh.

Perhaps you’ll have already started enjoying our seasonal in-game events too. First up, there’s the annual Advent Calendar – make sure to claim your prezzies every day, because it’s all progress towards earning the very special Horizon Sword!

Then there’s the Golden Party Hat Hunt, which runs until January 3rd – this is your chance to make the headgear of RuneScape legend by completing various tasks in exchange for Golden Party Hat shards.

Finally, don’t miss the Wintumber Aurora Yak Track, stacked with spectacular Northern Lights-themed cosmetics and more! That's running until January 9th.

That's not all for this year either - another festive event will make its appearance next week. Yup, we’re going all out for Christmas 2021! Stay tuned…
Secret Santa: Magic Moments
The Wintumber Aurora Yak Track has introduced a new Secret Santa system to the world of Gielinor! Speak to Sir Desmond Wellingtons KBE at the Snow Queen's setup in Burthorpe and you can donate or claim a new secret gift every two hours. Here's a few of our favorite shared finds so far. Aren't you a lovely lot?

SquiglyBacon struck some serious gold! (Fun fact, only one person has donated a Max Cash stack in Secret Santa so far).

GraveUndeath found a suspiciously just-enough-for-a-title gift! Totally unrelated, we're sure.

This one hurts us too, FooxRS.

Gordon_Betto, on the other hand, landed a whole new set of Armor! Nice one.

Don't forget – donate over 200million in one go and you'll earn the title of The Top Secret Santa... and show off your not-so-secret generosity!

This Week In RuneScape: Winter Yak Track & Advent Calendar!

The Queen of Snow has returned with a winter-themed Yak Track to keep you on your frostbitten toes! Take on her tasks for all sorts of enchanting prizes. Talking of treats, the annual Advent Calendar is back, with presents every day until Christmas! And if that's not enough, the Black Friday Sale is here! In short, it's gifts galore - and Santa's not even started loading his sleigh yet…

Ahh, that first hint of a chill in the air, the frost on your breath, the promise of snow crunching underfoot – there’s something magical about the arrival of winter, right? Puts us in the mood for frosty escapades. Well, if that’s how you’re feeling too, make sure you get on the latest Yak Track, hosted by the Queen of Snow herself!

The Queen (who has a new model, by the way) needs your help. Assist with her various tasks and you’ll bag a whole host of wintery treats, including sublime Northern Lights-themed cosmetics and pets, plus a maximum 20% XP boost. For those of you taking part in the Golden Party Hat Hunt, there’s also a shard on the free track – you’ll find it at Task 15!

We’re also debuting a brand new task called Secret Santa. As you can probably guess, it’s all about giving and receiving gifts, with lots of exciting goodies in store for sufficiently generous ‘Scapers! Most wonderful time of the year, innit.

Ready? Get your skates on then, because the Wintumber Aurora Yak Track ends January 9th. A Premier Pass costs two Bonds, or you can get it free with Premier Club – which is available now!

The RuneScape Advent Calendar is back! Open one door each day until Christmas and reveal the pressies within.

And every time you open a door on the same day as the number written on it, you’ll get a free Treasure Hunter Key, as well as progress towards the grand prize: the Horizon Sword!

There’s also a different Treasure Hunter promotion every day of the Advent Calendar, so it’s the perfect opportunity to catch up on any rare prizes you missed throughout the year.

Don’t forget, the Golden Party Hat Hunt continues until January 3rd! One of the must-have hats of RuneScape legend could be all yours. All you’ve got to do is find eight shards hidden in tasks throughout the game.

Some of the shards come from drops, but not to worry – even the most mirror-smashing bad luck sponges among you are protected! Basically, anyone actively playing throughout this event should be able to get their hat.
Daily Challenges
• Extending a Daily Challenge now costs 25 Vis Wax (down from 30).
  • When generating three Daily Challenges on a new day, if fewer than three challenges are toggled on, duplicates of unblocked challenges will be rolled.
    • i.e. If you've blocked all but Dungeoneering challenges, you'll roll three Dungeoneering challenges rather than having to complete a challenge and pay Vis Wax to re-roll the next challenge to the type you want.
  • You can now track all three of your Daily Challenge slots, even if they contain the same challenge objective.
  • Players now need a minimum level of 99 in a skill to access the Challenge Block feature from a Challenge Mistress.
  • Free-to-play 'Scapers can block Membership skills once they reach the level cap (for example, level 5 Agility).
  • The Agility Daily Challenge now counts each of the seven segments of the Anachronia Agility Course as its two laps, similar to Yak Track Agility tasks.
  • Basic challenges no longer give XP in their skill when you Claim Reward. This is so that skilling pures or specialist builds that only want to focus on one skill at a time can still access Daily Challenges.
  • All Combat Challenges can now be toggled off via a checkbox in the Skill Select interface, accessible via a Challenge Master. This can now be accessed at any level and turns off Combat, Prayer and Summoning Daily Challenges.
  • If the player currently has a basic challenge to do, Challenge Mistresses and Nastroth in Lumbridge now give a chat option to skip any of these challenges. This is so that a new player who does not want to engage in certain skills and/or get the XP from them does not have to complete all the basic challenge objectives.
  • The initial set of Daily Challenges assigned to a new player after completing the basic challenges is now Daily Mining, Daily Smithing and Daily Crafting (equipment), instead of Daily Combat, Daily Prayer and Daily Smithing. We think this is more skiller-friendly!
  • We've removed the 'Skip' text from Challenge Tokens, changed the Skip button text to 'Complete', and updated other bits of text to make it more clear that claiming the rewards from a completed challenge will give you XP in that challenge's skill.
  • Selecting each skill from the Challenge Blocking interface is much more responsive.
Other
• Text for the Main Menu has been changed to True Type font for sharpness and greater readability.
  • Greater Flurry will now deal increased single target damage when applied by the Greater Barge effect.
  • C4TAA is no longer possible. By switching to a Staff, the player does not cast two magic hitsplats.
  • Fixed an issue where completing the Hard mode task awarded the player the same amount of Reaper points as completing the task in Normal mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the Essence of Finality would not trigger while another ability cooldown was present.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Arch Glacor loot to be rerolled on a player's second kill of a killstreak in Hard mode.
  • Fixed an issue with a script error during the Elite Dungeon Taraket encounter.
  • Mummies killed by fire abilities now count towards the task in the Menaphos City Quest.
  • To prevent confusion, players using lootshare at Croesus will no longer be given a message about their Luck Ring having an effect, as there is a chance the item won't be distributed to them.
  • Magma Tempest no longer deals critical hits.
  • Some graphical issues with Closure's outfit override have been resolved.
  • In Once Upon A Time in Gielinor: Finale, a more appropriate shield animation is now used during Philipe's memory.
  • The player must now complete Once Upon A Time in Gielinor before they can wear the Completionist Cape.
  • As the perception of cosmetic overrides has evolved since the release of The Death of Chivalry. Plus, based on community feedback, the player is now considered to be disguised as Captain Dulcin as long as they're either wearing the Black Knight Captain Armour or have activated the Dulcin Armour override. This is even if they've overridden their appearance to not appear disguised.
  • Processing broken Chitin on an anvil now plays a sound effect.
  • Smithing partially folded Alloy Bars now plays a sound effect.
  • Smithing Gnome Platebodies during Doric's Task V now plays a sound effect.
  • The correct sound effects now play when using a Smithing animation override.
Mobile
• Based on feedback, mobile players now have the ability to change the direction messages appear in the chatbox to ascending or descending.
    • To choose, select the Common Chat Settings button at the bottom right of the chatbox and select the Chat Direction drop-down.
  • Fixed the issue when the character can't move after displaying a preview of the slomo walk animation in the Customisation Interface.
  • Fixed an issue on mobile where summoning a pet and closing the interface would block Inventories until you dismiss your pet.
  • Fixed an issue where the Beast Master Charge Counter was obscuring gameplay.

Party Hats are 'pivotal' to the RuneScape economy, and new hats are being given out for the first time in 20 years

RuneScape player 120King says they started cooking sailfish at 6:40 am on Monday. Four hours and "roughly" 4,000 cooked sailfish later, they acquired one of eight shards needed to earn a Golden Party Hat, a piece of gear which grants its wearer zero stat benefits. They have until January 3 to acquire the other seven shards they need to get a hat that does nothing, but may someday make them RuneScape rich...

This Week In RuneScape: Golden Party Hat Hunt & Once Upon A Time: Finale!

Right, take a deep breath... there's so much new stuff landing today! The Golden Party Hat Hunt is on, Once Upon A Time In Gielinor reaches its climax, plus we've made tons of tweaks with the new Ninja Strike. We're also gearing up for Black Friday and the holiday season at the Merch Store. Let's get to it…

We’re closing out our 20th anniversary year with a very special celebration: the chance for you to make a super-rare, dazzling, tradeable Golden Party Hat!

Starting today and running for the next six weeks, you’ll have various options throughout RuneScape for collecting shards. Once you've got eight of them, you’ll be ready to create the most sought-after headgear in all of Gielinor!

There are 11 shards available in total - check the Golden Party Hat Hunt Interface to see how you can get more (and track the ones you’ve already earned). Oh, and by the way, if you’ve joined Premier Club 2022 you already have a head start with a bonus shard from us to say thanks!

Start by visiting the Wise Old Man at the Grand Exchange in Varrock. The Golden Party Hat Hunt runs for six weeks until January 3rd – so get going now to snatch a bit of RuneScape history!
FAQ
Q: Is leveling a skill necessary to gain a shard?

A: Nope! You earn shards while training any skill, so just go about your regular activities!

Q: Can we obtain multiple shards from the same activity?

A: Each skill only rewards one shard, so you'll need to mix up your skilling activities to earn them.

Q: Do I need Membership to access the shards and make the Party Hat?

A: To secure your Golden Party Hat, you'll need to be a RuneScape Member and obtain eight of a possible 11 shards spread across the game.

Q: Are Ironman players able to participate?

A: Ironman players will be able to create their own hat - however, they will not be able to trade it.

Q: Some of the shards come from drops but I have terrible luck. What is the likelihood I won’t be able to finish it?

A: Slim! While there is an element of RNG to collecting the shards, they also have in-built 'bad luck' protection. As you continue to train a skill or complete clue scrolls, the likelihood of getting a shard grows exponentially. Essentially, it's our intent that players who are actively playing throughout this event will be able to create their own hat without too much worry

Q: Will Protean items drop the shards?

A: Yes, Protean items will be able to drop their relevant shards.

Q: Where can I buy the shard that's for sale?

A: Nic the Trader will sell you a shard! You can find him at the Grand Exchange.

Q: Does the clue shard come from completing a Clue Scroll or from the Casket?

A: The shard will come from completing a Clue Scroll.

The concluding episode of our anniversary quest series is here! We’ve been following the story of Relomia over the course of 2021, and it’s been quite a ride – now it’s time to help her pick up the pieces and discover her true self in Once Upon A Time In Gielinor: Finale.

To play, you’ll first need to complete the first three instalments in the series: Foreshadowing, Flashback and Fortunes.

The final quest will be worth four juicy Quest Points. It’s a must-play for Quest Point Cape owners because it lets you access the penultimate reward from May’s Quest Caravan – including a T5 Magical Dice!

Finale also yields some stunning cosmetic rewards – oh, and one of those all-important Golden Party Hat shards!

Ready? Get started by talking to Closure in his office.

The Ninjas have dropped in on Menaphos for some City Quest updates, and converted your Soul Wars pets!

Menaphos City Quests now have updated cooldown times that vary depending on your reputation tier - with no cooldown at all once you hit tier 8. Your Enhancers have also been buffed to make them more valuable.

Plus, Soul Wars pets can now be used as follower pets!

See the Patch Notes section for the full details.
Ninja Strike 28
Pets & Familiars
  • Abyssal Minion
  • Baby Basilisk
  • Minitrice
  • Baby Kurask
    • The Thaler cost for any extra copies of the above pets will be refunded.
  • Improved the messaging when performing an erroneous action with a familiar's special attack.
  • Improved overall messaging surrounding the fight functionality on legendary pets who can fight.
  • The following object pets from the Soul Wars minigame have been converted to follower pets on the interface:
  • Pets that were recently converted from object pets to follower pets were missing SFX, text and animations that would trigger when the pet was active. This has now been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where some familiar's special attacks weren't useable via the action bar.
  • Fixed an issue where players would get random ghost messages about legendary pet fights.
  • Changing a legendary pet’s abilities while it's summoned will no longer stop it from doing random actions, such as scavenging or emotes.

Menaphos

  • Menaphos City Quests have new cooldown times based on your reputation tier.
    • By default, the cooldown is now 15-20 minutes,
    • At tier 2 it's between 10-15 minutes.
    • At tier 4 it's between 5-10 minutes.
    • At tier 6 it's between 0-5 minutes.
    • At tier 8 there is no longer a cooldown.
  • An infobox now appears informing the player when a new City Quest is available.
  • The City Quest Enhancer has been buffed so that it:
    • Doubles the base reputation gained.
    • Doubles progress for the Phite For Your Right set of Achievements.
    • Doubles the amount of rolls for the two Jewels from the Jewels of the Elid collection.
  • Adjusted the description of the Enhancer to reflect the above changes
  • There are additional checks for giving the player a Jewel depending on their inventory or Bank space.
General QoL and Bugfixes
• Fixed an issue where the 'Cleave' and 'Sweep' abilities were sharing the same cooldown. In order to combat this, the following has been implemented:
    • A debuff icon has been added to show that the ability is on cooldown.
    • Cleave remains on a 7.2 second cooldown.
    • Sweep now has its own 7 second cooldown.
    • As a result of this, using Sweep no longer puts Cleave on cooldown, and vice-versa.
  • The loot interface now has a settings button that will open the loot system settings interface.
  • Added Orikalkum Salvage to the array of items that can be processed by the Spring Cleaner.
  • The Money Pouch will now show the total amount of coins gained when receiving multiple stacks of gold within a single game tick, instead of only the most recent amount received. This will be notable in situations such as using Area Loot or collecting from Grand Exchange transactions.
    • The filterable messages in the chatbox will still display the individual amounts received separately.
  • The Gear Siphon interface can now be used while in combat. However, using the Siphon Counter to enter a custom amount will interrupt skilling, and will itself be interrupted by combat.
  • Ironmen accounts that unintentionally received Lucky Dip tickets from skilling activities in September have had these tickets removed.
  • The description text of the Invention Task Enhancer is now slightly more, err, descriptive.
  • Removed restocking time from the Skillcapes Shop in the Max Guild.
    • Removed the ‘buy all’ option for Shop items that have less than two in stock.
    • Added the stock number for any Skillcapes in the generic Shop interface.
  • The Berserker, Maniacal, and Reckless Auras have had their full effects added to their description within the Aura interface.
    • Added more information to the examine texts of these Auras.
Balancing
Magma Tempest

Magma tempest has seen a lot of feedback over the past few weeks, with concerns over its synergy, power, and usability all at the forefront. So, we've moved to make the ability easier to use, while toning down its raw power and removing its synergy with critical strikes.

Magma tempest when unlocked is now two versions of the same ability: Magma Tempest and Magma Tempest (Targeted). The targeted version will work as you've come to expect, allowing it to be fired at an NPC or tile. The other variant of Magma tempest is more akin to a standard ability, requiring no extra inputs and firing the tempest at your current target - while also working with revolution. Both versions of Magma Tempest share a cooldown and will appear as separate ability icons, allowing you to choose which you want to use on the fly!

Magma tempest as a multi-hitting ability synergises incredibly well with both stat boosts and critical strike modifiers, granting ridiculous levels of damage and adrenaline when paired with Tsunami and the Fractured Staff of Armadyl. Because of this we're removing its ability to critically strike, reducing the gap between critical-magic builds and other combat styles, and lowering its top-end damage to make up for the huge bonus it gains from stat boosts. We'll continue to monitor these rewards and make any adjustments where necessary.

  • Magma Tempest damage reduced from 5-25% per hit -> 5-19% per hit.
  • Magma Tempest can no longer critically strike.

Breakdown

Comparative damage stats at 2153 ability damage, level 99 magic + Supreme Overload

Before this update

  • Min hit:183
  • Max hit: 689
  • Avg: 436
  • Total Avg (8 hits): 34

After this update

  • Min hit:183
  • Max hit: 560
  • Avg: 372
  • Total Avg (8 hits): 297

Dragonbreath (comparative)

  • Min hit: 885
  • Max hit: 4199
  • Total Avg (1 hit): 2542

Additionally, it should be noted that Magma tempest will perform better under increased stat boosts (such as Elder Overloads and Maniacal Aura) compared to single hit abilities. This also still applies on-hit effects multiple times, such as Cinderbane gloves and God books. Single hit abilities with higher ability damage scaling will perform better with improved gear.

Scripture of Jas

The Scripture of Jas is in an odd spot where it's more difficult to correctly use compared to the Scripture of Wen, while also capping how much of a benefit you can gain from it. As a result, we're raising the damage cap on the item in the hope that it may better fill a niche for players utilising a lot of damage over time effects that wouldn't be boosted by the Scripture of Ful.

  • - Increased the damage cap for Scripture of Jas: 10,000 -> 30,000
Other
• Increased drop rate of the Resonant anima of Bik from skilling nodes in the Senntisten:
    • Fishing and Hunter nodes now have a 50% chance to reward anima when successfully gathering resources.
    • Mining and Woodcutting nodes now reward guaranteed anima on successful resource gather.
  • The particles that appear on the core underneath Croesus are now Red, Blue and Yellow, in order to help with colourblindness. Colourblind mode can be toggled through right-clicking on Gorvek.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Tempest of Armadyl from dealing additional hits to nearby targets when combined with Greater Chain.
  • Fixed an issue where flying Vyrewatch in Meiyerditch could bite whomever is attacking them instead of their intended target.
  • In response to player feedback, we have added the name of your current Slayer/Reaper monster to the Slayer counter tooltip to more easily determine the name of the target when the counter is in shrink mode.
  • In response to player feedback, we've reduced the size of cash bags in Daily Challenge reward chests (ie large->medium and medium→small).
  • In response to player feedback, cash bags are now substituted for oddments in the Daily Challenge reward chests if you're an Ironman.
  • Aura Refresh items that are gained from the daily challenge's weekly reward system are automatically added to your aura refresh interface.
  • Fixed a number of stretching issues with the Augmented Fractured Staff of Armadyl across dyed and un-dyed variants.
  • Corrected the Hard Falador achievement 'Mass Production's Crafting prerequisite to Runecrafting.
  • Fixed an issue where the weekly reward chests from the Daily Challenge update could be searched for on the Grand Exchange.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed the Marketplace and Bank to be opened at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where the Oddments store would not stay open when opened from the Treasure Hunter tab. Now it remains open if it is opened from the Treasure Hunter tab.

This Week In RuneScape: Premier Club & Daily Challenge Upgrades

Lots of big news this week, folks. Premier Club is back, and Daily Challenges have had a major upgrade. Plus, we have exciting plans for the final months of the year – including the chance to get your hands on an elusive Golden Party Hat!

Premier Club 2022 is here! Sort out your next year of Membership with a VIP package, including instant rewards and year-round extras. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Highlights include this year's unique cosmetic outfit – the Dawnforged Armour Set and Greatsword Override – and a very special pet, the mystical Sol The Unicorn.

Premier Club also offers monthly drops containing very special items, as well as access to Premium Yak Tracks, +100 Bank Spaces and lots of other nifty bonuses. It’s all lovingly formulated to add a touch of luxury to your Gielinor lifestyle – all for just £49.99/€64.99/$69.99!*

Head over here for more info: https://rs.runescape.com/premier-club

*If you were a Premier Club Member and impacted by the Login Lockout earlier this year, we will be offering you a discounted rate to purchase this year’s Premier Club. Please do not buy through the website at this time – we will be sending you an email / RuneScape Inbox message within the next couple of days to let you know how to upgrade with your discount. Thanks so much for your patience.

Big news this week - we’ve improved the Daily Challenges experience, and have got some new Weekly Rewards for you too!

Currently, players are stuck with a selection of challenges that aren't necessarily appealing, and these can end up stagnating in your backlog. Some of the current tasks on offer are also a little imbalanced, and the rewards feel a little stale. So we thought it was time for a bit of an upgrade!
Here’s what’s changing:
• You’ll get three Daily Challenges every day. These then expire at the end of the day before being replaced by three more.
  • Completing a Daily Challenge awards a Large Lamp (previously a Huge Lamp) - but now you can get three rewards per day, not just one!
  • Vis Wax has more value than ever before. A re-roll of your Daily Challenges now only costs 10 Vis Wax (it was 25) and you can re-roll as many times as you want! Extending a Challenge now only costs 30 Vis Wax (it was 50) and doubles its Weekly progress (see below).
  • We’ve also improved specific Daily Challenges that we felt were a bit rusty – see the Patch Notes for full details.
NEW Weekly Challenges
• Completing a Daily Challenge progresses a brand new Weekly Reward Track - one for Free to Play players, and one for Members.
  • Every three Dailies you complete unlocks a Weekly Reward – with up to a maximum of seven unlocks per week!
  • Rewards could include anything from Silverhawk Down and Dungeoneering Tokens up to a Cash Bag, Deathtouched Dart or Gift For the Reaper! (Note: For Ironman players, restricted rewards are substituted with Oddments)
  • Feeling a wee bit lazy? Ah, we all have our off-days. Luckily, the Weekly Track contains Challenge Skip Tokens – meaning you can swerve the objective and claim the lovely rewards. Go on, treat yourself!
  • RuneScape Members receive the rewards from both the Member and free-to-play tracks, while non-members only get the free-to-play goodies.

We think these changes should really enhance the Daily Challenge experience. Let us know what you think!

Phew, 20 years of RuneScape, eh? What a year it’s been! But it’s not over yet – we’re rounding out 2021 with some seriously big moments, including the chance to earn a very special item!

In case you missed Friday’s announcement, here’s what we mean…
Golden Party Hat Hunt!
What better way to conclude our 20th year than with a super-rare, time limited and task-orientated opportunity to earn a Golden Party Hat?

Party Hats are some of the most sought-after items in RuneScape, and we don’t release them for any old reason. They’re tradeable, high value and of course, extremely fetching. They’ve only been available six times throughout RuneScape's entire history, so we’re not messing around when we say that you don’t want to miss the 2021 Golden Party Hat Hunt!

To earn your Golden Party Hat, you’ll have to complete a variety of tasks in order to land some shards. Fortunately, there are lots of different tasks available, so you can approach things in your own inimitable style. Time is of the essence, however - the grand shard search begins November 22nd and runs until January 3rd. Mark your calendars, folks – we’d hat for you to miss out...

Check out the full details in our special blog.
Once Upon A Time Quest
Our anniversary quest series concludes at the end of this month, with the final chapter of Relomia’s story. It’s time to help her discover her true self, as she learns how she can make a difference to the world of Gielinor. The fourth and final instalment will be worth 4 Quest Points, which is enough to access the penultimate Reward Track unlock – and a T5 Magical Dice!

Make sure you’ve caught up with the first three miniquests (Foreshadowing, Flashback and Fortunes) before the final adventure launches on November 22nd. Full details here.
Death Costs Discussion
This December we’ll be hosting an open discussion with the community on Death Costs, the outcome of which will shape any future designs. More news soon!

After some shipment headaches due to ongoing global supply issues, RuneScape: The First 20 Years has now hit the shelves – and she’s a beaut!

With illustrations, concept art and stories from the development of our beloved game, it’s an in-depth celebration of the world of Gielinor – and a not-too-shabby Christmas gift for the ‘Scaper you hold dearest.

The Deluxe Edition is sold out, but you can still get your hands on the lavish hardcover Standard Edition – an equally formidable tome for pouring over by the fire as the winter nights draw in!
