Update 2.1

Dear users. Today we have released an update to version 2.1. This update combines both gameplay improvements and a partial return to the old atmosphere of the game. We know that not all players liked the visibility markings and the number of weapons. The complete list of changes is as follows:

NEW FEATURES
  • Syringes now not only bring a teammate back to life, but also allow you to add protection to a friend during the game
  • Monster attack has become more effective
  • Added scene after player death
  • Crossbow shoots more realistic
  • Update of the "How to play" page. It's more understandable now


RETURNING THE OLD ATMOSPHERE
  • Removed visibility markers above players' heads
  • The level map is now loaded with areas, forcing you to explore the world of the game more
  • The crossbow is now better hidden in the level. You can't just get it at the start of the game


REMOVING BUGS
  • Improved voice chat

Version 2.0

Dear users. We have done a great job to improve the game and are glad to present you VERSION 2.0. In this version, you will find many significant changes:


ENEMIES

  1. Now opponents react to player movements based on many parameters: visibility, noise, flashlight, etc.
  2. Enemies have become more dangerous and learned to deal damage from a distance
  3. Barricades guarded by cultists appeared on the roads


WEAPON

  • A real weapon appeared - a crossbow. Look for it in special boxes on the map


LEVEL

  • Created a brand new final cave with a monolith, now much more epic
  • Added level map


OTHER

  • Reworked lighting and sound systems
  • and dozens of other improvements ...



The changes are very significant, they greatly change the atmosphere of the game. And it seems to us that now it will be much more difficult and interesting to play!

We are also making plans for the further development of the project. One of the ideas is to add food gathering in the forest, which will increase the stamina and defense of players. What do you think?

Global patch "February 2021"

Good afternoon, our dear players!

We continue to develop the "Sign of Silence" project and release another big patch "February 2021". In this patch you will find global optimization and a number of gameplay improvements


GLOBAL OPTIMIZATION

We have developed a system for streaming objects on the map, similar to that used by large open world games. This allowed us to achieve an increase in FPS by 3-5 times on most video cards. Now "Sign of Silence" will be comfortable to play on medium level hardware


GAMEPLAY

  • We have added a "lives" accumulation system. How to get additional "lives" - you will learn in the game!

  • In the new version, you can finally see the detective - the one whose notes you found all over the map

  • The Witch can now spawn randomly while tracking players. You need to be even more careful when traveling through the forest!


There are also many small improvements to gameplay, textures and sounds awaiting you. We continue to develop the project and will delight you with new additions and improvements. Follow our news!

Big update: new location, new enemies

Hello, our players!
We haven't released updates for a long time, and now, finally, this moment has come!

Today we present you with a big update with new location, new enemy, new ending and many other innovations and improvements.

[h3] New location [/h3]
Added a new location - Mines with lair of darkness.
The old mines located under Riven Peak are now open to the public. In them you can find new adventures, wander around interesting places and find a lair of darkness - a terrible monolith that is the source of evil in these places.

[h3] New enemy [/h3]
The Cultist is a fanatical minion of the forbidden cult who worships the monolith. He is able to get into the mind and kill anyone he sees. The cultists don't see very well in the dark, but don't get caught in his flashlight.

[h3] New ending [/h3]
Expulsion of darkness. Once they reach the monolith, players can interrupt the cultists' ritual that supports it, killing them and freeing Danville and the surrounding area from the forces of darkness.

[h3] New life after death [/h3]
Now, after the witch kills the player, by tearing off the head, the forces of darkness make the head "come to life", turning it into a terrible spider-like creature that can follow its friends, but, unfortunately, it will not be able to escape.

After completing the game on a new ending, players will receive a new achievement that they can brag to their friends.

Optimization and performance

Good afternoon, our dear players!

Halloween is over and it's time for us to take off our holiday outfits and clean up the scattered pumpkins.
We hope you have a lot of fun during your Halloween celebration!

But, in addition to ending the Halloween event, this update also introduces what many of you have been waiting for - game optimizations and performance increases! As well as other changes, but first things first.

[h2] Performance improvements [/h2]
  • a lot of work has been done to optimize the game
  • the system of loading and storing game objects in memory has been reworked
  • reduced the total number of game objects by combining them
  • simplified polygon of some small objects that do not affect the visual appearance of the game
  • configured LOD groups for stones and branches


[h3] Game innovations [/h3]
  • added a pointer to the north on the compass for better orientation on the map
  • increased the number of places where ordinary enemies can appear, added the probability of their appearance
  • added small screamer in Danwille


[h3] Improvements and changes in the gameplay [/h3]
  • changed the operation mode of the voice chat: instead of the "push to talk" mode, now the "enable / disable" voice chat mode is used
  • sneak mode has become more useful
  • improved appearance of trees at minimum quality settings


[h3] Bug fixes [/h3]
  • bug with audio chat has been fixed! It has been redone and should now work for all players, even those who are located far from our game server
  • fixed a bug with stamina consumption when the player is standing but holding down the run key
  • fixed a bug that did not count escaping on a boat if the player was standing on the very edge of the boat
  • changed the spawn points of syringes, fixed the places from which they could not be picked up
  • other found bugs fixed
