Tribeca announces IMMORTALITY for its 2022 Official Selection

Marissa Marcel is coming to New York City! IMMORTALITY has been selected as part of Tribeca 2022’s Game program this year!

Immortality trailer shows more of Her Story creator's next game

A new trailer for Sam Barlow's Immortality reveals more of the Her Story and Telling Lies creator's latest FMV game about watching videos of a pretty woman. This time, she's a movie star and we're trying to figure out why she vanished and why her movies were never released. Barlow has explained we'll be playing with a big ol' movie-editing machine and exploring through match cuts, which looks interesting.

Sam Barlow reveals the first trailer for his new 'interactive movie trilogy'




In 2020, Sam Barlow said that his next game—code-named Project A███████—was going to be "ten times more ambitious" than his outstanding 2019 investigative thriller Telling Lies. It was revealed at the Future Games Show 2021 as Immortality, a decades-spanning mystery about Hollywood starlet Marissa Marcel, who appeared in three unreleased movies and then vanished from the face of the Earth. IMMORTALITY wins at E3!

After a year of mysterious teases, Half Mermaid took to the virtual E3 stage to reveal Sam Barlow's new game, IMMORTALITY. The announcement trailer debuted during the Future Games Show and closed out Day 2 of E3 2021.

The reveal went on to win an Official E3 Award for "Most Anticipated Game From Future Games Show" as well as a "Best of E3" award from PC Gamer. It was also included in The Guardian's 20 Games to Watch from E3.

Telling Lies developer's next game is Immortality, about a missing movie star


The developer of swell narrative games Her Story and Telling Lies teased his next project last summer with a rather redacted store page. Half Mermaid and Sam Barlow's next game, Immortality, has now been slightly more revealed to be a story about the disappearance of movie star Marissa Marcel. We don't know much more than that, but it sure does sound like another twisty mystery is in store.
