"Come and gather 'round as we've just received a whole new batch of great fireworks that you can buy right now!" - one of the Supermarket staff announces leading customers to a shelf completely full with great new fireworks!

Few minutes later outside the Supermarket some of them (fireworks, not customers!) are being sent into the sky exploding happily in a whole range of colours and effects. It's almost New Year and everyone wants to have a firework to send it flying - perhaps along with their dreams and resolutions to be fulfilled in the next year? Anyway - at the Supermarket you cater to all your customers so obviously your supplies are well prepared!

Remember - be careful when having fun with fireworks but at the same time have fun! It's a new start for all of us and we would like to wish you Happy New Year! Let this new one be full of great experiences and fun moments!

It's Christmas and here at the Supermarket we're going to treat our customers just like members of our family! Grab yourself a small treat from under the Christmas tree while one of our staff members (obviously dressed as an elf-helper) will hand you Cinammon Candy! We are celebrating the Christmas so you will find a lot of discounts and special offers at the market - just for you!

You can even join us singing carols or playing some simple instruments! All to make you feel as welcome as possible on this very special day! It's Christmas!

[h2]Sign-up for a chance to join the beta tests![/h2]

Being a manager means being open and welcoming all opportunities to excel. Sometimes the opportunities happen absolutely unexpectedly. Not so long ago we were talking with you about the possibilities to create a Supermarket exactly how you envisioned it. Many of you expressed the wish to play the game and how difficult it is to wait for the full release. Well… When life gives you an opportunity to join beta tests, join beta tests then! And that is exactly what we are going to let you do!



Starting from now on you will be able to sign up for a beta test on the main page of the game on Steam. In 2021 we will randomly select a few participants that will have the chance to test the game simply by playing through it. We are hoping to gather as much feedback from those lucky fellows as possible - all for the task of making our game the best it could be!

As it is a beta test you need to remember that some of the things might be still not fully implemented or might work in an inappropriate way. Please do remember that it is the nature of beta tests to find out what is working well and what is working… not quite as good. We’re hoping to hear back from you about any issues you might encounter during tests as we will be closely monitoring your suggestions, opinions and feedback. Your words are what matters the most!

That being said we can’t wait to see you suited up and ready to manage your own Supermarket! The new era for the industry starts now and you need to make sure that your place is the best one around!

[h2]Customers are the most important people you will meet during your career as a manager! Some of them might even demand to talk to you! Do you know why they are so important?[/h2]

While building your own Supermarket and making sure it is exactly as you imagined it is easy to momentarily lose yourself in your own little world. It is however very important to remember that in the end it will be customers who will be the final judge of your achievements and your work. It will be them who will come barging to your market to find anything they might need and if they don’t find that - they will be angry.



You need to carefully plan your market and manage your employees so they’re always on their best behaviour and helpful toward the customers. You need to act quickly if you see any problem arising in your object. You need to be always on the lookout for potential ways of improving yourself and your location. The work never ends - it’s a process, a gratifying and satisfying process when everything works like a Swiss clock but it can get sour pretty quickly if you stop giving it your 100%!



But if you manage to do well, if you manage to create a fantastic place - for your employees and for your customers - you might expect that it will always be bustling with happy people. It will never be boring - working in this kind of industry naturally invites many surprisingly pleasant and unexpectedly stressful moments and you need to be able to manage them all well in order to prepare a great place. A place many will come back to with a smile on their faces and that will be known for being welcoming and fun.

And then after all is said and done, the dust settles and you can start preparing for the opening? That will be the moment of the ultimate test because as we all know – it is the last few moments before the work is finished that seem to invite many ideas and possibilities. And you always need to be ready for everything!
