Manor Lords Upcoming Patch Preview

Hi everyone! We wanted to share some info on a few things to expect as part of the upcoming patch for Manor Lords. The patch will be completed and released within the next few weeks, but this preview should give you an advance look at what has been worked on!

[h2]Fishing Ponds[/h2]

In response to popular demand, fishing ponds will be added.


And a new development branch, Winter Fishing, when reached will allow fishing all year round.

[h2]New Portraits[/h2]

New portraits to select from will become available!

[h2]Crossbows[/h2]

Crossbows will be a new addition to the game, offering an additional option for ranged combat.

[h2]Unreal Engine 5[/h2]

The Game will be upgraded to Unreal Engine 5, which should bring a host of improvements and allow development to proceed even better going forward.

[h2]Trade Overview[/h2]
A trade overview in the development screen will list all the previous transactions done by the region.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
Several bugs will be fixed, including a bug that sometimes caused fleeing deer to get stuck.

Manor Lords next update will switch over to Unreal Engine 5 and, more importantly, add fishing ponds

I’m calling it now. When, in a “few weeks” according to the developer, fishing ponds come to strategy builder Manor Lords, it will take approximately 45 minutes for some enterprising medieval fintech tinkerer to utterly bork the entire economy, and it will be glorious. What will begin as brave new world of lean protein and previously unseen Omega 3 levels will soon devolve into hordes of beleaguered oxen hauling overburdened carts full of rotting fish carcasses, as hyperinflation looms.

Manor Lords publisher doubles down on protecting devs as CEO says 'developer sustainability' is more important than 'any perpetual growth'




The publisher of Manor Lords, Hooded Horse, has been at the center of a recent discussion concerning indie developers and the difficulties of early access.
