This update is to make improvements to the server and backend systems of Boundary, further content updates are being worked on as well as improvements to the core gameplay systems.

July 24 Content Update Version 118454

Dear Astroperators, thank you for your support during our Early Access release! We'll be releasing a new update on July 24th that will require a downtime that's expected to last 2 hours. This will occur at Midnight PST!

GENERAL
1. Added a limited-time Arm Badge and Weapon Ornament for China Joy 2023. Don't forget to claim yours!

WEAPON BALANCING
1. Vertical recoil of the GSW-MG has been decreased from 1.5 to 1.3
2. Bullet velocity of the GSW-PSR has been increased from 780m/s to 850m/s

CHARACTER
1. Doctor's HP has been increased from 75 to 80
2. Probe's armor has been decreased from 100 to 80

PODS
1.EMP Improvements
  • Decrease in animation before launch from 0.7s to 0.2s
  • Increased the range of Strong EMP from 1.5m to 2m
  • Weak EMP range increased from 5m to 6m

2. 40mm Cannon Improvements
  • Damage increased from 30 to 40

3. HE Grenade Adjustments
  • Adjusted the number of spare rounds from 6 total rounds to 4
  • Damage increased from 75 to 85
  • Reduced reload time from 18s to 6s
  • Decreased the after-launch animation from 0.7s to 0.2s
  • Explosion range increased from 1m to 1.5m

4. Smoke Launcher Adjustment
  • Adjusted the number of spare rounds from 6 total rounds to 4
  • Smoke Launcher can now be detonated early by using right-click
  • Reduced reload time from 15s to 5s


CONTROLER IMPROVEMENTS
1. Optimized the intensity of aim assist
2. Vibration Feedback has been adjusted so each weapon now has it's own unique experience
3. Added vibration feedback when using PODS and Maneuver systems
4. Added vibration feedback when using Melee Attacks
5. Added vibration feedback for Armour being destroyed, EMP effects, Explosive Impacts, and character death

BUG FIXES
1. Fixed an issue that reversed the Vertical Sensitivity and Horizontal Sensitivity Multipliers when using a controller
2. Minor bug fixes and stability fixes

Update June 29, New Gun, Map, and Gamemode!

GENERAL
1. Further optimized matchmaking systems to match players of similar skill levels
2. Players will now be prompted to select a Server Region if they haven't done so already

WEAPON
1. Added the JUG-12 Shotgun. The JUG-12 is an automatic shotgun for Astroperator Doc, featuring high damage but with one heck of a kick.

GAME MODE
1. A new limited game mode has been added that will give players a much different experience than normal game modes.
  • The rule set is based around the Invasion Game Mode but with additional respawn time as well as capture time. There will be multiple objective points that the defending team has to protect, will the attacking side has to capture as many as possible. After one set of objectives is captured, a new set will become available.
  • Players will no longer be equipped with a jetpack. Player movement will be more strategic as multi-directional jumping and gun recoil play a much bigger role. Directional jumping can be activated by double tapping W (forward), S (backwards), SPACE (vertical up), or CTRL (vertical down).
  • Climbing along surface objects will help players avoid being sent off into the depths of space.
  • Gun recoil and the new speed indicator will help players maneuver around the battlefield in short bursts. Careful not to shoot yourself off into space though!
  • You can still use the grappling hook, it's incredibly effective and the best way at moving around the map quickly.

There will be 3 customized Astroperators for this game mode.
Support
  • Can use machine guns to help suppress enemies or to mow down anyone that dares to risk advancing.
  • Can deploy a static shield that will block incoming fire for a limited time, or deploy their own personal shield to advance against the defending team.
Recon
  • Can use sniper rifles to deliver high damage from long ranges, staying hidden from enemy fire.
  • Can use a snapshot sensors to detect enemies, while HIVE pods keep enemies hidden in cover to avoid death.
Assault
  • Uses assault rifles to defeat enemies from close range.
  • Can use Smoke Launchers to cover their advance or help flank an enemy position, EMP launchers to gain an opening to exploit, or the good old Grenade Launcher to clear out enemies.
MAP
1. Added the new map "Dusty" which is a complex and constantly changing astroid field, giving a new experience each match.

BUG FIXES
1. Fixed an issue that caused some missions to display repeatedly in the end of match menus.
2. Fixed an issue when using ADS that caused firing and aiming behaviors to act abnormally.
