A company backed by the Saudi Arabian government's Public Investment Fund have become the co-owner of the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) fighting game tournament.

Following Sony's sale of their stake in Evo, with India-based esports company Nodwin gaming buying it up, the event's co-owners have been Nodwin and talent management company RTS. Well, RTS have now been bought by Qiddiya Investment Company, a PIF-backed firm that's also overseeing the building of Qiddiya City as part of Saudi ruler Mohammed bin Salman's Vision 2030 initiative.

Sagat, the first character of Year 3, is now available!

Increase your bond with Sagat in the new stage, Proud Spire, in the World Tour and learn various moves. Once you've learned these moves, head over to the Battle Hub to show off your original combos!

Sagat's Outfit 2, which recreates his classic look from Street Fighter II, is also available so check that out as well! Outfit 2 EX colors can be unlocked by meeting the following conditions:
EX1: Clear master mission, Satsui no Hado, after becoming Sagat's apprentice.
EX2: Talk to Fuen in Proud Spire to play the new minigame, Mae Mai Mud Muay, on Hard mode and achieve a high score!

Also, alongside the release of Sagat, new quality of life updates will be available! Play to your heart's content!

Sagat will automatically become available for those who own the Year 3 Character Pass/Ultimate Pass. Sagat can also be acquired individually using Fighter Coins.
