JDM: Rise of the Scorpion News

We have an important update regarding the release of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion. After much consideration, we decided to postpone the launch. This decision was difficult, but we want to ensure the highest quality and best possible player experience on the launch day.

[h2]The new JDM: Rise of the Scorpion release date is August 8th, 2024![/h2]

To discuss the delay, we’ve brought in our lead producer - Krzysztof Bosko, who will explain the situation in more detail. We want to be honest and transparent with you - our fans. We are grateful for your patience and hope to see you on the track very soon!

As you can see in the material above, JDM: Rise of the Scorpion has exciting new features. We've been working to incorporate your feedback and create an even faster and more dynamic world. We hope you enjoyed the gameplay we’ve shown and are even more thrilled to try out the upcoming prologue.

New features include the smartphone system. This part of the UI will be with you every step of the way. Customize the wallpaper, browse through messages from NPCs, follow the quest log, and check your scores in leaderboards. The smartphone gives you access to changing car settings, like ABS assistants, gearboxes, or Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

In addition, we have prepared a new trailer, filled to the brim with races, events, and cars from JDM: Rise of the Scorpion. This video will let you feel how vibrant and alive the upcoming prologue will be:

As you can see in the video above, new events await you! Test your skills in:

• Drift Race - get as many points as you can drifting through challenging turns and corners,
  
• Drift Battle - chase and be chased, see what distance you can put between two cars,
  
• Grip Race - speed up and be the first to cross the finish line.

JDM: Rise of the Scorpion will be a fantastic experience. Players will be introduced to new areas and roads in a fictional Japanese prefecture - Guntama. This area is inspired by the mountainous region of Honshu. The map in the free prologue is only a part of the world we are creating for the full version of the game.

The upcoming free prologue to JDM: Japanese Drift Master - JDM: Rise of the Scorpion will be launched in exactly one month!





We can already start the countdown, so let’s recall what you can expect in the game:

• A new part of the map - visit Kiko Town and Tengai Forest to take on many challenging roads.

The free prologue JDM: Rise of the Scorpion launch day is almost here, and we want to see how excited you are about it! We prepared an Instagram contest for you under the title #LetsRise. Exciting rewards await you, so read on!

The theme is to show us in what way you are preparing for a JDM prologue premiere. Are you watching a lot of racing movies? Maybe you’re spending the day on the track? Show us a photo or a reel with your wallpaper, outfit, drawing, view, or anything you will think of. Let your creativity flow.

The following is a summary of the competition. If you are interested in participating, please read the COMPETITION RULES.



[h3]Competition task[/h3]
Your task is to present in what way you are getting ready for the premiere day of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion. Show us your love for Japanese or automotive culture.
You can present your idea in one of the two ways below:

• Instagram photo,
  
• Instagram reel.
  

[h3]Rules[/h3]
To be eligible for the competition, you must:

• have a public Instagram account,
  
• tag the official @japanese_drift_master Instagram account in the post description,
  
• use #LetsRise hashtag in the post description.
  

The competition is open to adults only.


[h3]Prize[/h3]
The winner will receive a gift set which includes:

• JDM T-shirt,
  
• JDM stickers,
  
• early access to the prologue JDM: Rise of the Scorpion.
  

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges who will assess the entries based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and quality of execution.

[h3]Deadline[/h3]
The competition starts today, 7th June 2024, and ends on 7th July 2024.
Entries must be submitted on Instagram by 11:59 PM CEST on 7th July 2024.

The competition results will be announced on 8th July 2024 in the form of a devlog on Steam and an Instagram Story post.
