The Viking Way Roadmap

Hello everyone, we are ready to show you our roadmap!

So far, that's what in our plans, but it may have some minor changes or additions in the future.


The Viking Way Roadmap

-Improve Siege Combat: Deeper siege mechanics, including siege machines.

-Deeper town management system, ability to build in your own towns to improve its economy, available goods, and troops.

-Improve the combat system. Bloodier and more animations.

-Improve the troop tree and add more differences between troops.

-Horse Riding and Mounted Combat

-Mounted Units: Mounted Lancers, mounted archers, etc.

-Throwing Weapons: Throwing axes and javelins.

-Infantry capable of throwing axes and javelins.

-Gloves and Shoes for more customization choices.

-Sandbox mode with the ability to customize your own Viking hero.

-Travel along the river systems to reach inland places such as Kiev.

-More things to do in a town, village, and monastery, such as arena matches.

-More factions such as the Pechenegs and the Eastern Roman Empire.

-Extended world map to the Mediterranean sea, covering territories of Moors, Italians, Byzantines, etc.

-Female Player Option.

-Skirmish battles on the field.

-Better boarding combat.

-More companions to hire.

-More quests and stories, including side quests.

-More variety of weapons, armors, helmets, and other items.

-More variety of ships to buy, including the Mediterranean ships and Moorish ships.

-Ocean events such as storms that can damage your ships.

Hot Fix V0.13

Bug Fix:Companion disappears if the ship sinks.
Bug Fix:Cannot recruit more troops if some troops got killed during ocean combat.
Bug Fix:Troops remain onboard, even if they are placed in garrison.
Bug Fix:Too frequent sieges.
Bug Fix:Garrison joins the enemy forces if the city falls.
Bug Fix:Companion who stays in the garrison disappears if the city falls.
Bug Fix:Unable to fire ballista.
Bug Fix:Unable to heal the player in a monastery.

Hotfix V0.12

Bug Fix: Game-breaking bug when entering combat, when player's ship gets deleted.
Bug Fix: After loading the game, ships' attribute increased.
Bug Fix: Repetitively entering the town. (right after leaving it)
Bug Fix: Supplies reset to 200 after loading.

Reduced the siege force strength.
You can sell or equip the family amulet now.
Friendly ships will cease fire on empty enemy ships.
Reduced ship collision damage.
Remapped keys for quick save/load. now is ctrl+f9 for saving and ctrl+f10 for loading.
Adjusted gift price.
Adjusted price for the Cog ship.
Settings are getting saved now.
Dialog will not be triggered during naval combat now.
Added boarding interval, to avoid repetitive boarding.
Added more fleets on the ocean.

We will fix the city commanding problem in the next update.

Update v0.11 Hot Fixes and Improvements

Fixed Bugs:
Bug: Enemy ship sometimes can’t be boarded.
Bug: Enemies can’t be generated correctly during boarding battles.
Bug Fix: The mouse cursor is visible during battle.
Bug: The treatment interface problem in the monastery.
Bug: The ship sometimes flips upside down.
Bug: Jumping onboard results in falling into the water.
Bug: Can’t board an enemy ship after loading the game.
Bug: The city garrison UI can’t be scrolled.
Bug: Special item’s price displayed wrong.
Bug: Item’s tooltip doesn’t refresh if quickly click multiple items.
 
Improvements and Optimization:
Balanced Player’s Level-up Speed
Optimized some of NPC’s portrait detail
Optimized the helmets and the shields’ generation mechanism
Changed some locations’ models
Optimized enemy’s siege frequency
Added hint when the player gets a companion
The player can pull out weapon automatically when entering the battle
