Pandemic Train News

Welcome!
As you start on your journey to save humanity, you will need a little patience. Developing the right strategy will be the key to victory.

You will start the game with cars in which the space has been cleared and arranged by you. You will do it through the modules.

They fall into 4 categories:
Medicine
Animals
Food
Crafting



Thanks to them, you will have access to everything you need to survive: producing food, ammunition or healing the crew and producing first aid kits!

You need scrap to build. It can be obtained by cleaning carriages, destroying already built rooms and during missions. Which one you build is up to you, but remember, you have a limited space on the train. You can only build 3 modules in each car.

Managing a train in the face of the end of the world is not the easiest thing to do. The responsibility of whether there is enough food, water or ammunition falls on you. Of course you don't have to do everything alone.

At the beginning of the game your crew will consist of just a few survivors, but as the game progresses you will come across survivors who will be brave enough to join you to save humanity.
They will follow your every command. but...

In Pandemic Train, all the characters on the train have action points to use during the train ride.


All points are restored each time you return to the train, the ones you don't use are gone.

It is important that you always meet the needs of your crew. A hungry or thirsty worker may leave you, a sick or cold worker puts his life on the line.... Provide good living conditions for everyone, and you may be able to survive ... and save humanity!

Trying to survive in the world of Pandemic Train we cross the map from location to location in our old school machine. The train is the most important part of our gameplay. It's where we build, produce and heal our crew.



However, not every character will produce the same amount of items or heal the same way. Whether it's a worker or our leader... each has their own skills.

As we start our journey, each character has skills. They are at level zero, but we can improve them by repeating the same action with one character. With each repetition, the level of the skill will grow for that character.

[h3]Use your skills wisely! This will be especially important in the early game.[/h3]

All workers receive the same starting skill set, while leaders have unique skills that are useful in battle or production.

Each leader belongs to one of the classes :

• René - Wraith
  
• Zhang - Assassin

Leaders also have unique battle skills that are upgraded as they are used:

• Ethan - Healing the whole team at once
  
• Anna - Stun enemies
  
• Melvit - Fire a series of shots
  
• Esihle - Setting traps
  
• René - Poison enemies
  
• Zhang - Throwing knives
  
• Olena - Molotov cocktail making
  

And some skills useful on the train:

• Ethan - Increased production in the medical wagon
  
• Melvit - Increased ammo production
  
• Esihle - Increased scrap collection
  
• Olena - Increased production of molotov cocktails
  

By keeping all leaders alive, you will increase your chance to survive!

Welcome!

In the last devlog you got to know our playable characters. Now we would like to introduce some non-playable *NPCs
In the world of Pandemic Train, you will meet many characters on your way. Some of them will be helpful, others will go against you.
So be vigilant!

• Lara - The loyal companion of the Survival League, to be found at Headquarters
  

• Ianthe Kronholm - Founder of the Survival League
  

• Alfred Winters - Second to our character, a soldier in the League, calculating, gives good advice
  

• Clara Winters - Alfred's sister

• Zhang - War hero from the far east
  

• Olena - perfectly regular 67 years woman. Doesn't have any military experience but is a great cook and everyone loves her. She has absolutely nothing to do with arsons happening in the area. Loves all animals but especially cats

Today, maybe a little more generally about what Pandemic Train will actually be.
As you all probably know it will be a survival. We have here a strong story background and even a bit of history. It is also a game full of exploration and combat . But you probably didn't know that Pandemic Train is also rogue like.
This is mainly because our inspiration for this game is "Snowpiercer", so just like a train with over 1000 cars, we travel the world around the same tracks again and again, visiting the same locations, or in our case stations. But don't worry, every time we visit a location again, it will be a different mission, a different stage in the game, and thus it will also be a story development and a different level of difficulty ;)
