Gamescom update part 2

The second part of the gamescom update is here and it should include all of the changes I wanted to do after hearing your opinions. Thanks again to anyone who played and gave feedback.
Changelog:
  • Changed Font of standard texts to Faustina (thanks to Vincent Büker from Gamescom for picking the font)
  • Increase scale of card hover for increased readability
  • Tooltips of cards are now coming faster
  • Mouse Cursor changes
    • new normal icon
    • added icon for cooldown / out of Mana
    • added icon for interactions (NPCs, chests...)
    • added icon for interaction, click
  • Added Keywords
    • School of Magic (this replaces the tutorial message box from before)
    • Shrine (To make shrines easier readable)
  • When casting spells while they have cooldown, a sound will be played
  • Summoned Minions no longer give loot bags, gold...
  • Fixed some nav mesh problems
  • Fixed bug that blocked WASD movement when moving over the level up icon
  • Fixed bug that happens when game data file was empty
  • Fixed teleporting bug
  • Teleport makes you now invincible for 0.75 seconds
  • The Camera does no longer lock you in place during combat, instead the area where you can walk will get blocked by rocks... that get "teleported" into
    the level and create a fighting area.
  • Enemies now spawn when you are with them on screen
  • Added spawn SFX and VFX for spawning enemies and fighting area blockers
  • If a spell fails to cast, it will no longer cost you Mana or put it on cooldown
  • Fixed Minor bug inside the spell queue
  • The Spell "Grow Through Pain" (Exp on hit) is replaced by "Painful Experience" (Crit Chance increase on hit)
  • Projectiles that travel through enemies are now aiming more accurately
  • Necromancers now cast their skeleton between you and them instead of behind you


Next will be Minibosses and Save and Load during a run.

Gamescom update part 1

At gamescom I got a bunch of feedback that I want to include into the game and this is the first batch of bugfixes / improvements from gamescom.

  • Fixed Bug that would make wasd not work on stop enemies from spawning
  • Added icons to map and mini map, to give you a better overview
  • Increased movement speed while out of combat
  • Level up now gives you full life
  • Cleaned interactions a little bit


There are still a bunch of things missing including the removal of the locked camera during combat, because this is a bigger change I decided to first publish this update. The next one should come in the next couple of weeks. Thanks to anyone who came around, I had a great time.

School of Magic will be at Games 2022

I am going to show School of Magic at this years gamescom and I am really excited. To celebrate I created a new Trailer and I am giving away Will Glow the Wisp for free if enough people Wishlist School of Magic.
Here is how the event works
  • 10 000 wishlist for School of Magic means that the price for Will Glow the Wisp drops from 2.99$ to 1.99$
  • 15 000 wishlist drops the price to 0.99$
  • 20 000 wishlists for School of Magic makes Will Glow the Wisp free
  • The price will change either by the end of the Gamescom (Aug 28th 23:00 CET) or after 20 000 wishlists have been hit. Keep in mind that Valve still needs to process the request so expect a slight delay, after the event is over.

Besides some bug fixes and minor improvements this update creates a better introduction to the game and I would love to know what you think about it.
