Hello everyone, I'm programmer Kazuya. I'm sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long. I thought the feature was simple, but it turned out to be more complicated than I thought. I initially planned to rebuild it from scratch, but I found out that some controls had to be reused from the old controlling system, which made it necessary to run the old and new controlling systems concurrently. After completion, I started testing and found a lot of bugs... During the Chinese New Year, my mother fell and fractured her spine. I had to take care of four children and an elderly person at the same time, which is why the update was delayed until now.

After my mother's rehabilitation, she has improved significantly and can now walk on her own. I will start rushing to work, and the next major update won't be delayed for so long. Please rest assured.

The 6th major update preview

Hello everyone, I'm Kazuya
Time flies, it's been two years since our Sword x Hime sale, 5 major updates, and a 6th major update is already in the works.
The 6th major update mainly focuses on the improvement of the system and game experience. The expected improvements are as follows:

1. Key Binding
Many players want the game to support Key Binding, and I promised to do it at the time, and we will fulfill this promise in the 6th major update.
This part is related to the underlying control logic. This time I will modify the underlying control logic from static to dynamic.

2. Gamepad support
More and more players of TPS games are now using Gamepad to play. In order to meet the trend, the sixth major update will also fully support Gamepad, not only in-game controls but also UI support.
This part is related to the underlying operation logic. The logic of the keyboard and mouse is different from that of the Gamepad, and the UI event reception and operation methods are also different. It is necessary to re-implement an operation dedicated to the Gamepad.

3. Memory optimization
This is partly my mistake. At that time, in order to catch up with the release date, I made a lazy decision on memory management. As a result, as the game is updated with more and more content, memory usage is getting bigger and bigger, and now it has become violent. increased to 7GB.
As a result, many players cannot start the game normally. This time I will completely renovate the bottom layer and manage the memory well.

4. Loading optimization
Like 3, I also made a lazy decision when it came to scene loading. Every scene, regardless of whether the assets in it were needed or not, was loaded all in one go. If you have a solid-state hard drive, the loading time is limited. acceptable.
But if it is a mechanical hard disk, the loading time may be as long as 20-30 seconds or even longer. This time I will manage the material of the scene and only load the part that is currently needed to reduce the loading time.

5. Performance optimization
According to our current test, with the GTX1060 graphics card at 1080P resolution, the performance is about 40fps. After analyzing all the scenes, I feel that we can manage the display of objects in more detail.
There should be room for improvement in performance, so I will also start to optimize this part to increase the fps as much as possible.

6. Game parameter adjustment
Although this game is an ARPG, the upgrade curve design is quite casual. Some players have given some suggestions, such as the drop rate of treasures, the cost of upgrading, the attack bonus after H...etc. I think it all makes sense, and these suggestions will be completed in the 6th major update.

7. Add a task list
A lot of players wanted the game to support task lists, and I promised to do it at the time, and we'll keep that promise in our sixth major update.

Since the above items are all related to the experience and optimization of the game, a lot of changes to the underlying structure will be made, and this update will be time-consuming, so we will release each item after completion.

Game Development Status Report

The update of sword x hime currently has a major update that has not yet been implemented
It was originally expected that the update of sword hime would be completed successfully in September this year.
But the game production progress is not as smooth as expected
It is very likely that it will not end until March next year at the earliest.
Then we can start working on the new game Dark Dragon Knight.
But this is beyond our original development funding budget

The programmer kazuya has been working very hard, but it really takes a lot of time to take care of the four children at the same time
However, sword hime games have not been sold at present, and the funds coming in are very limited now
If we drag on like this, there will be a day when the funds are exhausted.
There may be problems before the new game is developed



I have more time and want to help share, but I can't.
So I started learning simple programs in March and started from scratch
But I hate code, so I go to the zero-code art to programming playmaker
At first, I just wanted to do it out of interest and have fun
But the more I did it, the harder it turned into a small gallery
I hope this can be used to ease the pressure on future development funds
This small gallery is independently developed by me, from art, action to programming and research and development
So development is slow and most of the time is working on new characters and outfits
The current version is not the final version, it will continue to be updated until all projects are implemented







This small gallery is the same as the Hsex in sword hime gallery
The biggest difference is the addition of multiple characters and the new light and shadow technology
body dynamics, cloth and hair dynamics, and the quality of pantyhose have all been enhanced under the new engine
Because the construction is simple and takes up less space, faster execution speed
The number of costumes and monsters will be simplified to minimize the problem of model interspersed








The small gallery is expected to have two versions, the steam version and the patreon sponsored version
The difference is that steam is sale publicly, so the copyrighted part must be removed and cannot appear
For example, ACG costumes and copyright dances, these cannot appear on steam
The privately sponsored version of patreon will achieve various effects as much as possible, and the ACG characters and dances will be installed
The characters that have been completed so far are Homura, Haruhi, Aria, Milim, Rem, Ram, Nier 2B, Tohsaka Rin





Sword x hime plan:

Steam version of sword hime: The last major update, focusing on the renovation of the system, and then adding several H actions such as rags, lesbian, and footjobs
Patreon version sword hime: When the big update of the steam version is over, the ACG characters and costumes of Erchuang will start to be added. If the system allows,
some realistic characters expected to appear in the new game will be added for testing


So to sum up, patreon subscription will have unlimited small gallery and additional versions of sword hime in the future, as well as various tests of the new game Dark Dragon Knight
And when the Hsex is completed in the new game, it will be added to the gallery one after another, and the final stage will be integrated into the game when the game is almost completed.
