Once again we welcome you to our pizzeria, this time with a Christmas devlog. For us, this is not only a time to work hard on Pizza Simulator, but also a moment to immerse ourselves in the magical atmosphere of Christmas with you. Italy is a country where this period has a special meaning. Family gatherings, traditional dishes, and street markets, all contribute to this unique atmosphere that we want to bring closer to you. Let's enter an Italian home, where the smell of pizza mixes with the scent of the Christmas tree.


[h2]Currently in the oven[/h2]
In the latest phase of work on Pizza Simulator, we are intensively developing various elements of the game, focusing on refining them and introducing new features. We are still working on advanced AI for customers to make them behave more organically. We are expanding the tutorial, creating a comprehensive guide to the game's mechanics, enhanced with animated 2D and 3D models. The next stages of development will focus on completing character models, such as the waiter and Alfonso's character. We also plan to integrate the progression system with other game mechanics, fine-tuning the character animation of the AI client and implementing the AI cousin.


[h2]Italian traditions[/h2]
Before closing in their homes for the two days of Christmas, Italians prepare for this moment with flair. It's a time to get together with loved ones, neighbors, and friends. In Italy, the festive season begins on 8 December. This is when the streets of the cities come alive and the creativity and good taste of the Italians are fully expressed in the beautiful decorations.

Christmas trees (albero di natale), Santa Claus (babbo natale), baubles, garlands, lights, angels, reindeer, bows and stars - Italians move through a veritable fairytale landscape. There is no shortage of fantastic sights, such as the giant Christmas tree-shaped light display set up every year on the slopes of Mount Ingino, or the Christmas tree in Milan, decorated with Swarovski crystals.

The Italian tradition of nativity scenes is firmly established, and Christmas markets (mercatini di natale) add magic from the north of the country to Rome itself. It is a time when the streets are filled with the aroma of traditional foods and the stalls are filled with original gifts.

We would like to invite you back to our pizzeria. We've recently spent a lot of time perfecting every detail to make Pizza Simulator an even more satisfying game. Get ready for tasty changes and a unique dose of Italian flair.



[h2]Workstation[/h2]
We have recently made great progress in creating important areas of our pizzeria. We have prepared models and mechanics for the dough kneading stations, the ingredient cutting and the dispenser, which we will soon integrate with AI and a waiter model that will be a great help to you.

[h2]3D models[/h2]
We are currently working on 3D models of the characters you will meet in your restaurant. We are close to completing work on the cousin who will be your helper (not necessarily helpful and a bit clueless). We have also finished the concept art for the waitress character and are starting to create her 3D model.


[h2]Sabotage[/h2]
As we mentioned in an earlier devlog, there will be events available to sabotage our competition. However, remember that they can also play pranks on us. One of the things we can do to make life difficult for our competitors is to put a sign in front of the door of the restaurant saying that it is closed today. This will effectively discourage new customers from going to other establishments. Sounds despicable, doesn't it?

[h2]Decor[/h2]
It is up to you to decide where you want to set up the station. In the kitchen preparation phase, you can decide which layout is most convenient for you to work in. As you progress through the game, you can also upgrade each station. Swap your manual dough kneading for a convenient machine that does it for you! As well as these upgrades, you will also be able to unlock new recipes, expand your storage space, buy a table, and much more.

It's time for another devlog full of fresh updates and news about Pizza Simulator. We're adding even more flavor and flair to our game, so make yourself comfortable and get ready for some juicy information!


[h2]Continued work on customers[/h2]
We are currently implementing more advanced customer AI that will bring your restaurant to life like never before! Now our customers will walk the streets, take random routes, stop at different locations and continue their journey.

[h2]Notes and alerts[/h2]
You can use the notebook to buy ingredients for the warehouse, allowing you to better manage your stock. Another thing that will make your work easier is the pop-up messages that will inform you of events or stock shortages. Each event will have a graphical representation and a very short description, making it easier for you to react quickly without having to read a long message.


[h2]Preparation and playing phase[/h2]
Remember to replenish missing ingredients in the store and to clear away and wash dirty plates. During the preparation phase, the restaurant will be closed and no customers will enter. You will have plenty of time to prepare the pizzeria for another busy day. Once everything is in place, it's time for the gameplay phase, where the fun begins. Serve the incoming waves of customers, keep them happy and make them the best pizza in the world. Keep your finger on the pulse, because it's going to happen!

[h2]The cookbook[/h2]
Grandpa has left you a very valuable cookbook full of recipes that you can use to serve the best pizza in the area! New recipes will be unlocked as you develop your pizzeria. You can browse through it during the preparation phase and also during gameplay to remind yourself of the most important ingredients.

It's time for another devlog and lots of new goodies in Pizza Simulator. Sit back and relax as we've got a handful of updates on what we've been up to lately!



[h3]New systems, new challenges[/h3]
We give you a brief introduction to the systems you will find in the game and which we have recently focused on improving:

• Quality system - Each pizza you make can now earn you between 0 and 3 quality stars. This not only affects your income but also your Italianness points (this is the magical indicator that will play a key role in the game's development).
  
• Money system - It's not just the taste that counts, but also the speed of service. The faster you can prepare a hot pizza, the more money is in the till.
  
• Italianness - Your key to the next level. You earn it by taking orders, delivering pizzas and, in the future, through events such as sabotaging the competition.
  

[h3]New graphics [/h3]
Our graphic designers have not been idle lately and we have managed to do quite a few elements, including:

• Player character model.
  
• Storage, dishwasher, garbage disposal, mop - in other words, everything you need when running a restaurant, right?
  
• Interior elements of the restaurant and kitchen.
  
• Main menu - here we have paid particular attention to a modern and inviting design, but also to ease of use, combining cartoon style with transparency.
  

[h3]Space for treasures[/h3]
We mentioned that we have recently perfected the warehouse, a place to store all the ingredients for delicious pizzas! The space is limited by the capacity of the shelves, but don't worry, there will be larger storage facilities on the upper levels of the restaurant. At the moment, there is no way to replenish or spoil individual items, but you will eventually be able to purchase missing ingredients.
