Minor Patch

Just a quick fix for some issues that came up.

  • Camera interpolation shouldn't cause the camera to phase through walls during sudden fps drops
  • Fixed retry button sending you to the previous level after finishing a bonus level.
  • K&H X20 scope is now similar to the sniper scope, due to the old one consistently causing severe FPS issues no matter what was done.

Content Update 1



Hey everyone. Sorry for the recent lack of information regarding what's going on, I've been working to get this thing done. There's quite a lot of new content, mostly hidden and late game, but also improvements on some stuff that has been complained about.

Changes include:
  • Fixed player getting stuck on polygon seams with high frames per second. The movement should be more even between different computers in general.
  • Fixed getting stuck on stairs. Somewhat related to above.
  • Added a suicide button for people who are impatient to retry after dying.
  • New music tracks for some of the levels that still didn't have them.
  • Changes to level 1 music as it was incredibly grating and frustrating to some new players.
  • It's now possible to get some money early on.
  • Two new unlockable hidden levels. They're not as hard to find as the first one but I'm not going to spoil them.
  • Two new enemies.
  • Two new weapons.
  • Some of the weapons are now capable of killing armored enemies.
  • New implants, both purchasable and hidden.
  • Added stock market simulation. It's still rough but will be worked on more in the coming updates. Can be accessed during mission.
  • New ranks for all the levels for beating them with just the starting weapons.
  • Hidden difficult content.
  • Numerous small additions and changes.




There's still a lot of work to be done but I think this is a pretty big leap towards what I want the game to be like eventually. Hope you enjoy it!

Patch notes 4

I didn't really want to update again before I had something more significant to add but some pretty annoying new bugs turned up. This one also has a new implant you can buy so that's at least a bit more exciting. Work has started on a new bonus level too, it shows up as hidden on the level select screen but there's no way to unlock it yet. Sorry if this causes confusion, it's just annoying to add an exception to hide it.

  • Fixed a bug where you could no longer climb stairs after crouching once. (don't ask)
  • Fixed screen shader effects getting stuck after leaving the level.
  • Fixed civilian slider removing all civilians at every value other than max.
  • Added a new purchaseable implant.

Quickfix

The stair climbing change accidentally broke some related stuff, causing you to clip through walls when crouching through vents. So if you had problems with that it should be gone now.

Patch Notes 3

Just another small patch. Some minor attempts at optimization, let me know in the comments if the performance is any better. (or worse...)

  • Walking up stairs should be improved.
  • Added a gamma slider. Only has an effect on the in-game view, not the UI elements, due to how I've set up the screenspace effects. This was the quickest solution for now.
  • Added a camera sway toggle.
  • You can no longer quit or restart after the death countdown has started.
  • Changes in AI code that should make the game run a bit better. (Hopefully won't make the enemies do weird stuff too much)
  • Bunch of other minor changes.
