Hellroad VR : Update 1.2
Hey guys, this update is a bugfix and improvement patch. We are still working on level 5 and 6, hopefully we’ll be able to release level 5 in the next few weeks. We’re also working on a new weapon; it’s nearly finished now, and we’ll probably add it in the next update with level 5. These past months we worked on controlling the bike by steering the handlebars with your hands. We encountered several issues that’s why it took so much time to arrive, but it’s finally here!
So, for the major changes of 1.2, we added the possibility to control the motorcycle with the controller’s stick and by steering the handlebars. You guys asked for it and we have been working on it ever since. It was important for us to add these alternative controls to provide more accessibility and more immersion while driving the bike.
We also spent time on the radial weapon selection menu. Several feedbacks showed that the weapon selection menu could be improved as it wasn’t easy to select the right weapon quickly while facing a difficult situation. With the radial weapon selection menu, we hope that it will smoother the gameplay and allow you to do epic moves.
In addition to these changes, we worked on several minor aspects of the game such as calibration. You have now to press two keys to calibrate the game, which eliminates accidental presses while playing. You can now switch control types in the settings menu. The tutorial now contains training for every type of motorcycle handling. We improved zombies and dogs’ animations; it will now feel more realistic.
Bugfixes:
-Some of you had bugs while upgrading your bike and/or weapons, we fixed the prices display so now you will be 100% sure of what you are buying and at what cost.
-Some of you told us that level 1 timer was too short as it was starting in the beginning of the tutorial. --We decided to start the timer after the tutorial phase so you can take your time to handle the bike before riding straight to hundreds of zombies.
-We added a dust effect on falling stones, it feels now more realistic.
-No more weird sound when you misfire with the shotgun.
