The Crackpet Show - Advent Calendar 4/6 [Endless Mode]

Dear animal-freakshow-lovers,

We are just a few days ahead from the full release of The Crackpet Show, with the launch of one of the most exciting new additions ever - Endless Mode, putting Crackpets into ultimate mayhem in the massive stages, with infinite waves of enemies and random bosses from the campaign.

Let's dive deep into this brand-new mode so you can decide if you are up for an ultimate challenge prepared by Mr. Parrot.

[h2]Lobby with a twist[/h2]
When you enter a lobby in the Endless Mode for the first time, you will notice that Sponsors are not available in this mode. That's right - you need to focus on making a perfect build from scratch without additional support.

But to ensure you won't die in the first room, we implemented two additions to the basic game mechanics: Healing Hearts, with health dropping from enemies, and Double Weapon, allowing you to wield two guns at a time.

[h2]Survive everything that Mr. Parrot throws at you[/h2]
In Endless Mode, you don't have the privilege of choosing a path.

The first room you enter, like in the campaign, requires you to choose a perk. Then you enter a massive stage with a randomized layout and a different set of enemies each time. After clearing a boss, the biome and decoration set changes.

Enemies have a minor chance of dropping precious loot, so you need to hope for RNG to drop you a weapon to help you manage the fight. Survive ten waves of enemies to clear the room and prepare to kill a random boss from the campaign.

We have divided Bosses into tiers, so don't worry about fighting late Season 3 monsters right from the beginning. They also drop additional rewards and open another perk room, improving your build by constantly increasing the difficulty of enemies. All perks are equivalent to level 2 ones from the campaign.

[h2]Increasing the difficulty curve[/h2]
Our desire was never to force you to grind for hours, so with every 10 waves, you can expect a significant increase in enemies' health. After clearing a few rooms, you might start noticing higher-level weapons, which with an increasing pool of perks should keep you up and running. The rest is up to your skills, precision, and aiming.

[h2]Online Leaderboards[/h2]
Instead of usual likes, you get a score for each kill in this mode. It all adds up to a final score that will show up on online Steam Leaderboards, together with the last wave you made it. That's an entirely new level of fame - so don't screw it up. And best of all, if you play in a local co-op, you will see individual scores for each player, so now you will know who keeps the team in play and which one needs more support.

[h2]How to access Endless Mode?[/h2]
Mr. Parrot thinks that if you successfully beat the first season of The Crackpet Show, you should be ready for the challenge. Then this option becomes available in the main menu.

However, we recommend playing this mode after clearing most of the campaign to avoid spoilers and take the fun from unlocking weapons and perks.

Do you know this lovely feeling when your favorite show gets more enjoyable with each season? Well, the best thing about The Crackpet Show is that we've been revamping everything from Episode 1 to 18 during this whole year of Early Access. So now it's the best time to jump back into the most bizarre show with cute yet violent animals. And to make things easier here is everything that changed throughout the year.

[h2]Introduction of Season 3[/h2]
With Crackpets moving to Petopolis, we've opened an entirely new biome with 6 new exciting bosses, including the final encounter and a big show Finale! This time you need all the sponsor power and the best combination of perks, special items, and weapons to beat the Blind Hugger, Blood Brothers, or deadly Cockroach The Builder.

[h2]Endless Mode with Online Leaderboards[/h2]
After beating Season 1, you will receive access to an entirely new game mode that uniquely blends everything The Crackpet Show has to offer in a completely new randomized way. Go through the largest rooms yet, clear 10 waves of enemies, and beat the random boss to fight for the high score in online leaderboards.

[h2]New room types & layouts and decorations[/h2]
Each biome has 8 new room layouts with 4 variants, giving you 32 new additional mayhem playgrounds with a new set of decorations.

We've also added entirely new room types:

Upgrade Room - the only way of getting everything out of your weapons, giving you access to level 4. Remember, the first upgrade is for free. For more, you need likes.

Stash Room - sometimes you need the power right from the start. So now you can place a weapon in a magic red fridge that makes a copy of it, giving you a chance to take it out at the start of a different episode. How neat!

All of the above are accessible via sponsor upgrades.

[h2]Character skins[/h2]
The Crackpet Show is all about fame and style too! Kill 5 bosses, grab the skin cards, and put them in the shiny new machine in the lobby to get a random outfit for your beloved characters.

For the full version, there are 24 of them, with 8 new ones coming soon + 2 additional ones inspired by Admiral Bahroo's avatar. So this gives us a whooping 34 outfits for Crackpets.

[h2]New music + main theme[/h2]

With the 1.0 version, we are introducing a main theme composed by Jerome Rossen, the mind behind every single note found in every single episode of the cult classic splatter comedy Happy Tree Friends. We also have new tracks for combat and bosses to enhance the fun and violence of the show.

[h2]New weapons/perks/special items[/h2]
Since the launch of Early Access, we've added tons of new weapons, perks, and special items. Let's take a look at our favorite addition to each of the categories.

Weapon: Random Gun - This magic gun shoots like any other weapon swapping between them with each shot. If you can't decide which works best for you, this is the one for you.

Perk: Short Circuit - The show became more electrifying after introducing this perk to the pool. Add electric powers to your tools of mayhem, and watch how your enemies die quickly. And it also works on barrels, saving time for all participants looking for precious loot.

Special Item: Manifesto - The Crackpet Show is famous for its die-hard fans, but now they can show their dedication by joining the mayhem and fighting on your side!

[h2]Critical hits mechanic[/h2]
During Early Access, we've introduced a Critical Hits system with a set of new dedicated sponsor upgrades, perks, and special items. It opened up an entirely new wave of builds focused on close-quarters fighting.

[h2]Rebalancing[/h2]
During the entire Early Access, we've been gathering reports from the community and checking stats of deaths and most efficient weapons to find a golden sweet spot for an overall balance.

As a result, we've reworked how the beginning of The Crackpet Show works, giving enemies a new attack pattern, making it easier to pick up your friends in co-op, and boosting special items significantly to make them more useful.

[h2]QoL improvements[/h2]
There are tons of small changes that should make playing The Crackpet Show more enjoyable, to name a few:

When restarting an episode, you go back to the character you previously selected
Introduced background for characters in co-op
Make picking up stuff for hold instead of press
Improve the camera work
Make mines more useful by activating between themselves
Make the area of effects damaging barrels
Introduced a new end summary screen with detailed stats

[h2]Easter eggs and a secret room[/h2]

Have you noticed the addition of a secret room with one of the Early Access updates? Even we have trouble finding it. But it's worth looking for to discover Mr. Parrot Secrets!
